ICCPP Ushers “Powder-free” Atomization Technology with Next-Generation GENE TREE Ceramic Cores

SHENZHEN, China, Sept. 18, 2021 — ICCPP, a global atomization company, has unveiled its first-ever ceramic core technology brand GENE TREE at the 2021 Nano-tech Ceramic Core Global Online Launch Conference on September 16. The release of GENE TREE marks a revolution in electric atomization R&D while also introducing a new generation of ceramic core products into the industry.

2021 Nano-tech Ceramic Core Global Online Launch Conference

Themed "The Future of the Core", the conference emphasized the continued development and innovations of electronic atomization technology, as well as demonstrating ICCPP’s determination to shape the future of the industry. Its new GENE TREE nano-tech ceramic core products promise to improve the efficiency and stability of atomization and increase product lifespan.

"GENE TREE is the culmination of countless hours of R&D and almost a decade of experience in electric atomization technology. We are thrilled to launch our breakthrough research achievement with the international community and usher in the future of ceramic cores," said ICCPP CEO EVEREST Zhao.

ICCPP has established a 300-strong R&D team. GENE TREE nano-tech ceramic core products were realized by this team after over 1,000 days spent on repeating technical explorations and scientific experiments and tens of thousands of hours spent refining one thousand sets of ceramic core material formulations. In addition, the R&D team overcame a series of technical production challenges to ensure mass-produced ceramic cores were at a world-class level in terms of resistance consistency and appearance.

With the "powder-free" concept, GENE TREE products harness raw materials made from new environmentally-friendly mineral materials, which migrate and diffuse into the three-dimensional network ceramic skeleton at a high temperature. Following this, the grain micro-structure is rebuilt and the multi-phase co-existence structure improves the ceramic toughness. Meanwhile, dispersion is distributed in the three-dimensional ceramic skeleton to form a lipophilic matrix layer, which can improve the lipophilicity and oil storage of porous ceramic. Atomization tests have demonstrated that the temperature of the ceramic heating surface and atomization remains stable between four to 11 watts.

Unlike other products, GENE TREE’s safe operation power range can also be raised from 8 watts to 11 watts to fully meet the requirements of different products. The heating film remains stable in temperature and the GENE TREE supports continuous atomization for 4000 seconds — increasing its lifespan by five times compared with other mainstream products.

As ICCPP’s first ceramic core product, GENE TREE has garnered widespread attention from the industry since its launch. With plans to ramp up production capacity and sales for B2B clients, GENE TREE has established itself as a key player straight out of the gate, as well as the leader in electric atomization technology.

CGTN: China calls for solidarity among SCO members as the bloc turns 20

BEIJING, Sept. 18, 2021China on Friday called on member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to strengthen solidarity and cooperation and build a closer SCO community with a shared future.

Noting that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the SCO’s founding, Chinese President Xi Jinping reviewed the history of SCO cooperation and made proposals for its future development at the 21st meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO. The summit was held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, which is holding the rotating SCO presidency in 2021.

Addressing the summit in Beijing via video link, Xi called on SCO member states to enhance collaboration on Afghanistan-related issues and promote a smooth transition in the country.

The SCO will launch procedures to admit Iran as a member state and Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Qatar as new dialogue partners on Friday, said the Chinese president.

Efforts to build ‘new type of international relations’

The creation of the SCO was announced on June 15, 2001, in Shanghai by Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russian, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. India and Pakistan joined the bloc in 2017, bringing the number of member states to eight.

President Xi hailed the "vigorous growth" of the SCO and the "fruitful, mutually beneficial cooperation" among its member states during the past two decades.

"Guided by the Shanghai Spirit of mutual trust, mutual benefit, equality, consultation, respect for diversity of civilizations and pursuit of common development, the SCO has endeavored to promote world peace, development and human progress, and to explore new ground, both theoretically and with actual steps, with a view to building a new type of international relations and a community with a shared future for mankind," the Chinese president said.

SCO member states have jointly promoted political mutual trust, ensured security and stability, pursued prosperity and development, and upheld international justice, he added.

"We were the first to call for fighting terrorism, separatism and extremism," Xi said, underscoring cooperation among SCO members states in curbing the spread of drug trafficking and holding counter-terrorism exercises and border control operations.

‘Closer SCO community with a shared future’

The SCO has reached a "new historical starting point" after 20 years of development, President Xi said, calling for efforts to "build a closer SCO community with a shared future" and make further contributions to lasting global peace and common prosperity.

The organization should stay committed to enhancing solidarity and cooperation, upholding common security, promoting openness and integration, boosting interactions and mutual learning, and upholding equity and justice, he said.

The Chinese president called on SCO member states to enhance policy dialogue, communication and coordination and respect each other’s legitimate concerns in their cooperation so as to keep the organization "on a steady course of development."

"We should maintain firm confidence in our systems, reject condescending lecturing, and firmly support countries in exploring development paths and governance models that are compatible with their national conditions," he said. "We should keep the future of our countries’ development and progress firmly in our own hands."

‘Most pressing task’

Stressing that the fight against COVID-19 remains the "most pressing task," President Xi called for joint efforts among the member states to deepen cooperation against the pandemic, promote fair and equitable distribution of vaccines and firmly oppose any act of politicizing COVID-19 origins tracing.

China has provided approximately 1.2 billion doses of finished and bulk vaccines to over 100 countries and international organizations, he said, adding that China will step up efforts to provide a total of two billion doses to other countries this year.

To facilitate post-COVID economic recovery in the region, China will strive to reach $2.3 trillion in its cumulative trade with other SCO countries in the next five years, Xi said.

China will also provide 1,000 training opportunities in poverty alleviation for other SCO countries in the next three years, he announced.

SCO cooperation on Afghanistan

President Xi called for tough actions from SCO member states to combat terrorism, separatism and extremism, including the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM).

Commenting on the "daunting challenges" faced by Afghanistan after the withdrawal of foreign troops, he called on SCO member states to make full use of platforms such as the SCO-Afghanistan Contact Group and facilitate a smooth transition in the country.

"We need to encourage Afghanistan to put in place a broad-based and inclusive political framework, adopt prudent and moderate domestic and foreign policies, resolutely fight all forms of terrorism, live in amity with its neighbors and truly embark on a path of peace, stability and development," he stressed.

The Afghan Taliban took control of Kabul on August 15 and announced the formation of a caretaker government earlier this month. China has urged the Taliban to make a clean break with all terrorist organizations, including the ETIM, and resolutely fight against them. The Taliban have pledged not to allow Afghan territory to be used "against anybody or any country in the world."

‘Defenders of international order’

President Xi highlighted the SCO’s role in upholding equity and justice in the world. "Acting from a so-called ‘position of strength’ is not the way to handle international affairs, and hegemonic, domineering and bullying acts should be firmly rejected," he said.

"We need to practice true multilateralism and oppose actions that use the name of the so-called rules to undermine the international order and cause confrontation and division," he added.

As the SCO launches procedures to admit Iran as a member state and Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Qatar as new dialogue partners, Xi expressed confidence that the "growing SCO family" will play roles as the "builders of world peace, contributors to global development and defenders of the international order."

Not so long ago, Beeple’s NFT platform, WeNew, released the NFT commemorative work "LOUIS: The Game” for the 200th birthday of Louis Vuitton, which has attracted significant attention and sparked a new wave of cross-arts NFT practices. Though the NFT market is hot, much of the focus has been on creating digital art by digital creators. While according to statista, the global market value of NFT is around 330 million US dollars, compared to the 50 billion US dollars in the global art market value, it only contributes less than 1%. So here comes EchoX — unlike most NFT trading platforms focused only on the digital art circle, filling the big gap by targeting the other 99% of creators, galleries, and brands and providing them the right NFT managing and curating tools to experiment with the intersection of cryptocurrency and culture with the following reimagined ways to interact with NFT.

1. Anti-counterfeiting certificate

Empowering an art by minting an NFT as the corresponding traceable anti-counterfeiting certificates mapped to the original artwork. It allows creators, artists, or brand owners to easily mint their NFT and issue them on various platforms while grasping business opportunities in real-time price tracking.

2. Smart receipt and safekeeping system

NFT as smart receipt and safekeeping system to allow artwork owners to auction or merchandise more easily with NFT, whereas the corresponding physical work is kept in the gallery or a third party institute. This characteristic also increases the artwork liquidity with the authentication ensured.

3. Co-creation certificate of Performance art

NFT can also be applied as a co-creation certificate for performance art, allowing art creators to issue NFTs as an invitation to participate and produce together and furthermore to share the right of future potential dividends.

EchoX is funded by SG Asia Capital (an NFT fund based in Singapore) and incubated with the Venture Studio model by LeadBest Consulting Group (Asia’s top ten blockchain consulting firm awarded by APAC CIO Outlook). The strategic investment round was led by the LeadAgileX Industry Empowerment Fund and backed by angel investors including Mindfulness Capital who participated in the equity investment of top blockchain projects such as Bitmain and Sandbox, as well as expert consultants who specialize in blockchain and cultural fields. It is estimated a total of 1.2 million US dollars as the initial investment of this project.

The founding team members include international curators, technology and financial talents, including international curating consultant Dr. Shin-Yi Yang (Cornell University art history PhD), digital empowerment experts LeadBest founder Chia-Hsien Lee; first Taiwanese in Singularity University Dr. Ju-Chun Ko; Curating director Dr. Chia-Wei Wen; (Candidate) of National Taiwan University of Art AMCP, COO Kuan-Ting Liu, and CPO Chi-Tse Chang. Moreover, EchoX is linking to one of the top blockchain multi-signature vault systems, Cybavo, for the preservation of NFT assets. In addition, global strategic partners also include Thomas Ao, Mindfulness Capital (a blockchain capital fund) founder, Ke-Fei Lin, technical director of VC Trade, a subsidiary of the SBI Group, and Taien Wang, information security consultant and the founding chairman of TGONetworks, Chien-Chih Liu, a collector and chairman of Kings Town Bank International Lease Corporation, and Kelvin Chung, legal counsel KPMG partner lawyer.

"NFT will bring an explosive impact to the art market in the near future," emphasized by co-founder Dr. Shin-Yi Yang, an internationally renowned curator.

EchoX, COO Kuan-Ting Liu said, "It is foreseeable that more art trading will take place online through virtual certificates, NFT, which also echoes the original vision of EchoX. That is, to provide NFT management tools and online curatorial consulting services for galleries and creators."

"The cultural and creative industry also needs digital empowerment. So far less than 1% of the global art industry applies blockchain technology. EchoX is aiming at the other 99% entering the brand-new market together. The future possibility is exciting," commented Neil Lee, CEO of LeadBest Consulting Group, the incubator of EchoX.

The first exhibition is going to be a wow in the global NFT market, more surprising curating projects have been in preparation all the way until the end of the year. NFT is the most popular buzzword in crypto and digital markets nowadays, we believe that more cross-field collaborations will be revealed soon.

About EchoX

EchoX is the online-offline curating expert, providing NFT management tools and consulting services in online curating. Dedicated to making online-offline curating and NFTs as easy as artists are creative, EchoX supports and collaborates with galleries, artists and brands to curate a world of echoes altogether whether in the physical world or the metaverse.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 – The Android Tablet That We Want?

Xiaomi launched something we thought we might never see from any other Android manufacturer in their launch event two days ago. They launched a tablet, and not just any tablet. They launched an 11-inch tablet that is set to take on Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S7 series and even HUAWEI’s MatePad series. If you consider its size, it competes directly with the Apple iPad Pro too.

Xiaomi is not a new player in the Android space. They have overtaken Apple to be the second largest brand globally in terms of shipped smartphones. All this while not having a major presence in the United States market. At one point, they were third globally without even hitting most of the European market. This is also a testament that Xiaomi really knows what they are doing in the smartphone space.

The tablet space is a little different though. The Android tablet market space is a sparse one. The only viable player in the Android tablet space is Samsung with their Galaxy Tab S7 series. HUAWEI is out of the picture, since their devices do not and cannot support Google Play Store and Google’s mobile framework. Even we would admit that Apple’s iPad has offered the best tablet experience so far.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 then is a peculiar product. While we liked the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 very much, we still think that the Android tablet experience has a lot to be left desired if compared to the Apple iPad devices. While the Apple iPad goes all the way to the pro version with M1 chipset and endless potential in its applications, the same cannot be said for Android tablets, even the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. So, what then can the Xiaomi Pad 5 offer that Samsung cannot, and what does it have that might sway you away from just buying the shiny new iPad?

The Power of Xiaomi Pad 5

pad 5 pro 1
Source: Xiaomi

Firstly, we have to look at its internals to understand what this tablet can offer. It is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 (Snapdragon 870 for Pro variant) that keeps the Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 tablet trundling along. It is no Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, which is a slight disappointment. While it makes little to no practical difference, its direct competitor is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 System on a Chip (SoC). It also packs less RAM at 6GB compared to its Android competitor.

Within the aluminium and glass constructed body though is a large 8,720mAh battery with 33W charging speeds. Most tablets have batteries that can go on for days on a single charge though, so that would not be all that special anyway. Like its competitor also it packs four speakers with Dolby Atmos tuning.

Stunning Display

XMPad5 5
Source: Xiaomi

Where it holds a slight lead though is on the panel that lies under the glass protection out-front. It is an 11-inch IPS display instead of the regular TFT LCD display from the Samsung. It offers the same WQHD+ (1,60 x 2,560 pixels) resolution as well, meaning the display should look just a tad better in terms of colour reproduction and contrast, especially with HDR contents. Dolby Vision is also built-into this display for the best entertainment experience possible on a tablet device. Of course, it refreshes at 120Hz, that is quite mandatory in devices today.

Productivity Suite

Xiaomi Pad 5 Pen2
Source: Xiaomi

Like most Android tablets (we say most because we still regard the HUAWEI MatePad Pro to be a variant of an Android tablet), the Xiaomi Pad 5 comes with a stylus. They call it the Xiaomi Smart Pen (seriously, can anyone come up with better names for styli?) and it is a good pen, on paper anyway. It offers 4,096 pressure points which also means that it is as sensitive as it gets when it comes to stylus technology. With 240Hz of sampling rate, the Smart Pen is also as responsive as it can get today. It is an active pen with smart programmable buttons on its side. That also means that you need to keep it charged by attaching the Smart Pen to the side of the device. It charges from flat to full in 18 minutes and should be able to keep you writing, drawing, and scribbling for as long as 8 hours non-stop.

No Other Accessories So Far

XMPad5 2
Source: Xiaomi

Everything that has been stated above and in the launch points to a very capable tablet device. It is a highly compelling device that could even be just a little better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. On paper, these two offer practically the same things at different price points. The Xiaomi Pad 5 starts at MYR 1,499 or approximately while the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 starts at MYR 3,299.

There is a problem here though. The Xiaomi Pad 5 does not come with the accessory support that the Samsung tablet has. There is a keyboard case and another magnetic case that is made for the tablet. Along with the Smart Pen, there is no other accessory for it. Then again, this is the same problem that Samsung has with their tablet line-up compared to the Apple iPad.

The basic Apple iPad starts at MYR 1,499 though, the same price as the base model of the Xiaomi tablet. The same priced Apple iPad does not come with an Apple Pencil, or a keyboard case too, which makes the Apple iPad a more expensive device compared to the Xiaomi Pad 5.

The Android Tablet That Makes A lot of Sense

XMPad5 4
Source: Xiaomi

Here is the thing, the Apple iPad Pro with M1 wins the tablet market hands down. There are two things that holds it back though despite its processing prowess. The iPad Pro is held back by its price and the limitations of iPadOS itself. The iPadOS experience is something that is constantly evolving though, which also means that the next iteration of iPadOS might start taking advantage of the M1 chips.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 is never really designed to compete with the Apple iPad Pro line-up though. It is meant to compete with the humbler regular iPad, and in that we think it excels. At MYR 1,499, the Xiaomi Pad 5 comes in with a reasonable price tag that plenty can swallow. It is a perfect Android device that is targeted squarely at users who are thinking of buying an iPad and not willing to spend much more for a tablet. More information on the Xiaomi Pad 5 is available on their website.

Bluetooth Audio Comes to the Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch is still one of the most popular gaming consoles even after four years on the market. What started as one of the world’s first hybrid consoles, flourished into the most popular console in Nintendo’s history. However, the console isn’t without its own issues.

One of the longest-standing issues was the lack of Bluetooth connectivity. The issue was at its peak when Nintendo release their popular multiplayer game: Splatoon. it also baffled the Switch community as the Joycons utilise Bluetooth for their functions. However, it looks like that issue is coming to an end with the latest update to the console.

  • Nintendo Switch BT Audio 002
  • Nintendo Switch BT Audio

The latest update (ver. 13.0.0) enables the ability to pair Bluetooth audio devices directly to the console. However, there are caveats to the support. Firstly, there is still no support for microphones over Bluetooth. In addition, using a Bluetooth audio device with the Nintendo Switch will limit the number of controllers you can use to a maximum of two. You also can’t use the Bluetooth when you use local wireless communication.

While it may seem like there update is a little limiting, it is a very welcomed update. Nintendo Switch users have resorted to buying additional accessories that enable Bluetooth connectivity. With this update, that should be a secondary concern.

The Nintendo Switch community also has more reason to celebrate as it seems like there is price revision happening in the wake of the availability of the Nintendo Switch OLED. Prices in Europe have seen a drop of about 10%. The console is currently going at £259.99 in the UK where it was going for £279.99. In other parts of Europe, the console has seen price revisions from its original pricing of €330 to about €300. No word yet on whether these revisions will affect other regions.

Fitbit Introduces Snore Detection for the Fitbit Sense & Versa 3

Fitbit’s dominance as a fitness band and platform is becoming more and more apparent as the company continues to bolster its offerings. While the company hasn’t yet released a Wear OS-powered wearable, they are extending the functionality of two of their smartwatches. The latest feature that is making its way to the Fitbit Versa 3 and the Fitbit Sense is noise and snore detection.

The new feature will take advantage of the microphones in the Sense and Versa 3 to detect snoring and ambient noises during sleep. It will also be measuring the intensity or loudness of snoring. The data will be collected and compiled into a “Snore report” which is accessible on the Fitbit app. However, detection will not be able to discern between the user and any other person in proximity. So, if you have a partner who does snore, it will be reflected in your snore report as well.

Fitbit noted that the feature will more battery intensive than others. It is recommended that the Fitbit Versa 3 and Sense be charged to 40% when using the feature. This is most likely due to the activation of the mic every few seconds. This will happen once the Fitbit detects that you’ve fallen asleep.

The feature could very well be one of the most important features that Fitbit has introduced in the past year; aside from the ECG that is. It will allow doctors and users to detect the early signs of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Snoring is a common symptom of obstructive sleep apnea but it can also occur simply cause of fatigue. In cases related to OSA, it could indicate a more serious problem that should be dealt with. With the condition becoming more common, the feature will be a welcomed addition to a doctor’s toolkit.

The new snore detection feature is accessible through the Fitbit app’s sleep tracking function. However, the feature isn’t included in the basic subscription which comes when you purchase a tracker. Instead, it’s been bundled in Fitbit’s Premium subscription which will set you back MYR34.99 a month.
