Hollyland has introduced two new wireless microphone systems, the Lark A1 and the Lark Max 2, each aimed at different user groups. The Lark A1 is designed as a compact, simple-to-use system for casual users and content creators, while the Lark Max 2 is a more advanced system with professional-grade features for demanding recording environments.
Hollyland Lark A1: Made For Everyone

The Hollyland Lark A1 is engineered for portability and ease of use. The transmitter is small and lightweight, weighing 12 grams. The system operates on a plug-and-play basis, where the receiver is plugged directly into a device’s USB-C or Lightning port and pairs automatically with the transmitter. It captures audio at a 48kHz/24bit sample rate.
A key feature of the Lark A1 is its one-touch Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). When activated, this function helps to reduce ambient background noise, such as wind or city traffic, to isolate the speaker’s voice. The system has a stated line-of-sight transmission range of up to 200 meters (656 feet). Each transmitter has an internal battery that provides up to 8 hours of use, and the included charging case can extend the total operational time to 30 hours. For users who wish to have more control over the audio settings, the LarkSound mobile app is available.
Hollyland Lark Max 2: Record in 32-bit Float Natively
The Lark Max 2 is designed for professional users who require a higher degree of audio fidelity and reliability. It incorporates several advanced technologies, most notably 32-bit float recording.
The primary benefit of 32-bit float recording is its extremely wide dynamic range. In practice, this makes the audio recording virtually impossible to “clip” or distort from unexpectedly loud sounds. This technology provides significant flexibility during post-production, as audio levels can be adjusted dramatically without degrading the quality of the recording, making it highly suitable for unpredictable filming situations.
The Lark Max 2 also features an AI-based noise cancellation algorithm. This system is designed to identify and isolate human speech while actively suppressing various forms of background noise for clearer dialogue. The audio is captured using Hollyland’s MaxTimbre Mic technology, which is engineered for rich, detailed sound, and the system has a 70dB signal-to-noise ratio.
For added data security, each transmitter has 32GB of internal storage, which allows for up to 14 hours of direct, onboard backup recording. This ensures a clean audio file is captured even if wireless transmission is interrupted. The receiver is equipped with a color AMOLED touchscreen, which allows users to monitor and adjust settings in real-time. The system’s line-of-sight transmission range is rated up to 280 meters (920 feet). With the charging case, the system provides up to 40 hours of total use.
