Huawei Malaysia has officially unveiled its latest lineup of smartphones, the HUAWEI nova 14 Series. The new family is clearly aimed at young creators, with a heavy emphasis on design, intelligent on-device AI, and advanced portrait photography. The series launches with three distinct models: the flagship HUAWEI nova 14 Pro, the standard HUAWEI nova 14, and the battery-focused HUAWEI nova 14i.
HUAWEI nova 14 Pro put the focus on Portraits
The top-tier nova 14 Pro is the hero of the lineup, built around a premium display and a highly versatile camera system. It features a 6.78-inch Quad-curved LTPO OLED screen, which, being LTPO, supports a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate for smooth visuals and power efficiency. Under the hood, the Pro is powered by the Kirin 8020 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
The camera system is the main focus. The rear “All New Star Orbit Ring” houses a powerful triple-camera setup. The 50MP main camera is the star, featuring a variable aperture (f/1.4 – f/4.0) and OIS, which allows for superior low-light performance and true optical depth of field in portraits. This is complemented by a 12MP 3x optical zoom telephoto lens (also with OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide-macro lens. An Ultra Chroma sensor is also included to ensure vibrant and accurate colours.
For selfies, the Pro boasts a dual-camera system on the front, combining a 50MP Ultra Portrait ultrawide camera with a secondary 8MP 2x optical zoom “Close-Up Portrait” camera for tighter shots. A large 5500 mAh battery powers the device, with support for 100W HUAWEI SuperCharge Turbo.
HUAWEI nova 14 taking a Flatter view of things
The standard nova 14 offers a slightly different philosophy, appealing to those who prefer a flat-edge design. It uses a 6.7-inch flat OLED display that still features a 120Hz refresh rate. This model runs on the Kirin 8000 chipset, configured with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The rear camera system is nearly as capable as the Pro’s, featuring a 50MP Ultra Vision main camera (with a fixed f/1.9 aperture), a 12MP 3x optical telephoto lens with OIS, and an 8MP ultrawide-macro lens. For selfies, it has a single 50MP Ultra Portrait camera. Impressively, the standard model packs the exact same 5500 mAh battery and 100W HUAWEI SuperCharge Turbo as the Pro model, which is a significant plus.
HUAWEI nova 14i focuses on Battery Life
The nova 14i is the entry point to the series, and its main selling point is endurance. It features the largest screen of the three, a 6.95-inch LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. This phone is powered by the Snapdragon 680 4G chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The camera system is simpler, with a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor on the back, and an 8MP sensor on the front. Its standout specification is a massive 7000 mAh battery, which supports 22.5W HUAWEI SuperCharge.

The HUAWEI nova 14 Series is available for pre-order starting 3 November 2025. The official Malaysian pricing is as follows:
