Every tech launch is not complete without some mention of an expanding ecosystem. With the HUAWEI Mate 80 Pro, HUAWEI is doing the same. Alongside this heavy-hitting flagship, the brand has simultaneously refreshed its wearables ecosystem with the introduction of the HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 5, a new iteration of the WATCH Ultimate 2, and the FreeClip 2.
HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 5
The HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 5 takes the stage with a clear focus on fidelity and noise isolation. At the heart of these earbuds is the brand’s new Dual-Driver Acoustic System, which supports high-resolution lossless audio transmission. In practical terms, this translates to a much richer sound profile, delivering deeper bass and crisper high frequencies without the muddiness often associated with wireless earbuds.

However, the standout feature is the active noise cancellation. Huawei states these are the first earbuds to utilize a dual-driver Dual-Engine AI Noise Cancellation architecture. Instead of relying on a single processor or algorithm, this system intelligently coordinates both drivers to actively adapt to environmental noise in real-time. Whether you are trying to drown out the drone of an airplane engine during a long commute or looking for focus in a bustling coffee shop, the dynamic cancellation works to provide a highly immersive listening experience and notably clearer voice calls.
HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2
For those who prefer their tech wrapped in a rugged, premium chassis, Huawei has introduced a striking new Green edition of the HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2. This device continues the brand’s legacy of crafting high-end outdoor smartwatches that do not compromise on durability or aesthetic appeal. It retains the advanced diving capabilities and tough construction that made the original model a reliable tool among extreme sports enthusiasts.

What sets this new iteration apart, aside from the fresh colourway, is the introduction of enhanced golf-focused features. The smartwatch now delivers far more intelligent sports tracking tailored specifically for the golf course and the driving range. It acts as a digital caddie, helping players analyze their swings and track their performance with granular detail. It is a specialized addition, but one that perfectly aligns with the premium lifestyle positioning of the Ultimate series, proving that the watch is as capable on the green as it is under the waves.
HUAWEI FreeClip 2
Completing the trio is the HUAWEI FreeClip 2, arriving in an elegant new Rose Gold finish. The original FreeClip turned heads with its unconventional form factor, and the second generation continues to champion the open-ear design. Built around an airy C-bridge architecture, the device is engineered to prioritize long-term comfort and stability.
Huawei refers to this as the “Never Feel, Never Fall” wearing experience. The earpieces clip securely onto the outer ear rather than sitting inside the ear canal, allowing users to consume podcasts, take calls, or listen to music while remaining entirely aware of their physical surroundings. This adaptive open-ear listening approach makes the FreeClip 2 an excellent companion for outdoor runners or office workers who need to stay tuned into their environment without sacrificing their personal soundtrack or situational awareness.
