vivo Malaysia has officially brought its latest flagship lineup to the Northern region, launching the vivo X300 Series at Sunway Carnival Mall in Penang. But this wasn’t just a standard device rollout; the event doubled as a major announcement for the brand’s role in the country’s tourism landscape.

In addition to bringing epic photography to the northern region, vivo Malaysia was also announced as the Strategic Partner for Visit Malaysia 2026 in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia. This partnership builds on a five-year relationship between the two organisations and serendipitously aligns with the X300 series’ positioning as “The Ultimate Travel Phone.”
The “Ultimate Travel Phone” for Visit Malaysia 2026
The collaboration aims to leverage the advanced imaging capabilities of the X300 series to showcase Malaysia through a sharper lens. To kickstart this, vivo launched the vivo Vision+ Mobile PhotoAwards Malaysia, a photography initiative running until 2 January 2026.

The contest invites Malaysians to share visual stories from across the country. Participation is straightforward: users need to upload original photos to social media with the hashtags #vivoX300Series, #X300ZEISSImageGoFurther, and #vivoVISIONplus. Crucially, vivo users are encouraged to keep that watermark on to show off the hardware’s capability.
X300 Series: A Quick Tech Recap
Under the hood, the X300 series is a powerhouse designed for content creation. Both the X300 and X300 Pro run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 platform and feature vivo’s BlueVolt battery system with 90W FlashCharge, ensuring you have the power to shoot all day.
The X300 Pro is the star of the show for zoom enthusiasts, featuring a 200MP ZEISS APO Telephoto Camera and a ZEISS Gimbal-Grade Main Camera. It also debuts the new Pro Imaging Chip VS1, which handles the heavy lifting for speed and stability.
The standard X300 isn’t far behind, packing a 200MP ZEISS Main Camera with an Ultra-Sensing Sensor (HPB) and CIPA 5.5 stabilisation grade. Whether you are shooting in low light or capturing fast motion, the hardware is built to deliver ultra-clear results.

Both models support 4K 120fps Pro Video and Stage Mode 2.0, making them formidable tools for concert-goers and travel vloggers alike.
Penang Launch Exclusives
For those on the ground in Penang, the launch offered some serious value. Early bird customers were treated to exclusive rewards worth up to RM2,872, including a Giselle Coffee Machine, the vivo Watch 3, and even a DJI Neo 2.
With the VM2026 partnership now official and the hardware officially in the wild, vivo is positioning the X300 series as more than just a smartphone—it’s a dedicated travel companion for the coming year.
