Sonos 27 Audio Operating System
At the heart of this entire release is the brand-new Sonos 27 software platform. This latest-generation audio operating system expands Sonos into an increasingly intelligent and adaptable ecosystem. Sonos 27 introduces brand-new ways for listeners to control and interact with their sound setup using artificial intelligence. This includes Sonos 27voice, which is the company’s proprietary assistant built specifically for music and mood curation. Sonos also previewed upcoming Custom Agents that will let users create personalised agents with unique models and voices. The operating system also introduces Sonos Fabric, a clever capability enabling speakers to sense each other and adapt automatically. This powers headphone linking and positioning technology, all supported by a redesigned, intuitive mobile app.
Sonos Beam Ultra
The living room is the natural gathering space for movie nights and family entertainment. Finding a soundbar that delivers theatre-quality sound without taking up too much room is always a challenge. The brand-new Sonos Beam Ultra solves this problem with a sleek, mid-size soundbar form factor. It retains the compact footprint of the original Beam while packing serious acoustic power inside.
Engineered for modern entertainment spaces, the soundbar features nine custom audio drivers. This impressive array includes two dedicated up-firing drivers that bounce sound off your ceiling. As a result, listeners get true 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos performance that fills the entire room. The acoustic design also delivers warmer bass frequencies to give explosions and musical scores extra depth.
A redesigned centre channel ensures that dialogue sounds exceptionally crisp and natural. You will never have to strain to hear whispered lines during quiet dramatic scenes again. Four levels of artificial intelligence speech enhancement provide even greater control over dialogue clarity, while Night Sound supports late-night listening. Sonos Ace Ultra
Personal listening requires a delicate balance of physical comfort and top-tier sound reproduction. The Sonos Ace Ultra arrives as the company’s newest premium over-ear headphone. It is built to deliver an immersive private listening experience that connects directly into your broader home audio ecosystem. The physical form factor features a plush over-ear design crafted for all-day wear. Soft materials wrap comfortably around your ears, creating a natural acoustic seal that keeps outside noise at bay.
Inside the earcups, a custom 40mm driver designed entirely by Sonos engineers brings your music to life. This custom driver works alongside an advanced active noise cancellation system powered by ten built-in microphones. Whether you are working in a noisy cafe or travelling on a long flight, external distractions melt away instantly. The headphones support up to thirty-five hours of continuous battery life with active noise cancellation turned on. Moreover, the device introduces Headphone Engine 2 hardware, letting you push audio from your home speakers straight to your ears with a single button press.
Pricing & Availability
The rollout for these new offerings begins with Sonos 27 app navigation and Portable Surrounds starting September 8, 2026, alongside Sonos 27mcp in Early Access. Beam Ultra and Sonos Ace Ultra are available for pre-order starting September 2, 2026, on tcacoustic.asia and at the Sonos Concept Store located at The Starhill.
The Sonos Beam Ultra is priced at RM4,199 and comes in classic Black and White colourways. The Sonos Ace Ultra is priced at RM2,299 and is offered in four distinct colourways consisting of Black, White, Agave, and Sand.
In addition, Sonos has unveiled a new Sand colourway for the portable wireless Sonos Play speaker, priced at RM1,899, available for pre-order from September 2, 2026.
From September 15, 2026 onwards, Beam Ultra and selected colours of Sonos Ace Ultra will also be available for pre-order on Lazada Malaysia. Official retail availability across all respective stores begins on September 29, 2026.
