The series introduces a unified design language dubbed the “Buds blade,” which is characterised by a stabilised stem featuring a premium metal finish and an engraved pinch control area for tactile adjustments. To ensure long-term comfort, this ergonomic shape was computationally designed using data from hundreds of millions of global ear data points and over 10,000 simulations. Both models also come housed in a new transparent clamshell-type cradle that makes storage intuitive while showing off the hardware.
Beyond physical design, the ecosystem leans heavily into artificial intelligence, allowing users to initiate AI agents like Google Gemini, Bixby, and Perplexity entirely hands-free. To minimise setup friction, Samsung has streamlined the connectivity process for users deeply embedded in its ecosystem. Simply opening the charging cradle near a compatible phone or tablet prompts an instant connection, bypassing the need to manually navigate Bluetooth menus or download the Galaxy Wearable app beforehand. Furthermore, both models support Bluetooth 6.1, Auto Switch, and Auracast, ensuring modern wireless connections across multiple devices.
Galaxy Buds4 Pro
The Galaxy Buds4 Pro serves as the flagship offering, utilising a canal-fit design to provide maximum passive isolation alongside its active noise cancellation. Under the hood, these earbuds feature a new two-way speaker system that includes a wider woofer. By minimising the speaker’s edge, Samsung has increased the effective vibration area by almost 20% compared to previous iterations. When combined with the dedicated tweeter, this setup supports 24-bit/96kHz high-fidelity audio, delivering deep bass and resonant highs that aim to replicate the original studio recording. The two-way speaker components are strategically positioned near the top of the metal stem, a design choice intended to maximise the noise-cancelling algorithms while physically deflecting wind interference.
For environments that require dynamic awareness, the Buds4 Pro incorporates Voice and Siren Detect features. These sensors automatically recognise when the user starts speaking or when a critical sound like an ambulance siren occurs, instantly lowering the media volume and boosting ambient sound for safety and seamless conversation. The Pro model also introduces Head Gesture controls, enabling users to answer calls or engage with AI assistants simply by moving their head, which is highly practical when your hands are full. The earbuds boast an IP57 rating for robust water and dust resistance, making them suitable for rigorous workouts. Battery life is rated at up to six hours of continuous playback with active noise cancellation turned on, extending to a total of 26 hours when factoring in the charging case.
Galaxy Buds4
For users who find deep in-ear seals uncomfortable, the standard Galaxy Buds4 opts for an open-fit design. This approach delivers a more relaxed, user-friendly audio experience while still offering active noise cancellation to tune out background disruptions. Audio is driven by a single 1mm speaker, supported by an enhanced Adaptive Equaliser that adjusts frequencies based on the user’s specific ear shape and wearing conditions.
Communication is a strong focal point for the base model. It utilises Super Clear Call technology, which combines super wideband capabilities with machine learning algorithms trained specifically for voice enhancement and noise reduction. This ensures that phone calls remain crisp and legible, even if the user is walking down a busy street or sitting in a noisy cafe. The earbuds are protected by an IP54 rating, offering basic splash resistance. On the endurance front, the standard model delivers up to five hours of playback with active noise cancellation enabled, with the case providing enough juice for a total of 24 hours of listening time.
Pricing & Availability
The Samsung Galaxy Buds4 series is available for pre-order in Malaysia starting February 26, 2026, with general retail availability scheduled for March 11, 2026.
The flagship Galaxy Buds4 Pro carries a recommended retail price of RM 999. It will be available in Black and White, alongside an online-exclusive Pink Gold colourway. The standard Galaxy Buds4 is priced at RM 699 and will be offered in standard Black and White finishes.
Samsung is running a promotional campaign from February 26 until May 31, 2026, offering a 10% discount on the Galaxy Buds4 series for customers who purchase selected Galaxy S and Z series smartphones.
