Infinix has officially taken the wraps off its latest addition to the NOTE family, the Infinix NOTE Edge. This device makes a clear statement: mid-range phones don’t have to look or feel cheap. By prioritising a slim profile, a curved display, and a massive battery, Infinix is targeting Malaysians who want a phone that feels premium in the hand without commanding a flagship price tag.
Design and Display
The first thing you will notice is the “Pearl Light Ripple Shadow” exterior. It sounds like a mouthful, but in practice, it means the back panel features textures that mimic cat’s-eye gemstones, shifting elegantly under different lighting. The standout Silk Green variant uses a specialised polyurethane process to create a leather-like texture that feels smooth to the touch. Other colour options include Lunar Titanium, Stellar Blue, and Shadow Black.

On the front, the phone sports a 1.5K 3D curved display with ultra-narrow 1.87mm bezels, giving it a nearly borderless look. It is bright, too—peaking at 4500 nits, which should make outdoor visibility a non-issue. Audio hasn’t been neglected either, with dual stereo speakers tuned by JBL. Durability is backed by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and an IP65 dust and water resistance rating, striking a balance between style and ruggedness.
Performance and 5G Connectivity
Under the hood, the NOTE Edge is the first device globally to launch with the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G platform. This chip is designed for efficiency but still packs a punch, scoring over 810,000 on AnTuTu benchmarks and supporting 90fps gaming in titles like Honor of Kings.

Connectivity is a major focus here. The device features Infinix’s Ultra Powerful Signal (UPS) 3.0, an AI-driven system that optimises signal strength in challenging environments like subways, elevators, or basements. Real-world tests reportedly show a 30% improvement in video bandwidth in crowded areas.
Battery and Charging
Perhaps the most impressive engineering feat is the battery. Infinix has managed to squeeze a massive 6500mAh battery into a body that is just 7.2mm thick. This cell supports a “self-repairing” technology that uses a low-current process to heal micro-cracks, claiming to retain 80% capacity after 2,000 charge cycles—roughly six years of typical use. When you do need to plug in, 45W charging gets you to 50% in 27 minutes.

Camera and Software
For photography, there is a 50MP main camera with a large 1/2-inch sensor designed for low-light performance. A new Live Photo mode captures 3-second clips with audio, ready for social media sharing. The phone runs on XOS 16 (based on Android 16) and comes with a promise of three major Android upgrades and five years of security patches, ensuring it won’t be obsolete anytime soon. It also features the FOLAX AI assistant, activated by a dedicated side button, for real-time translation and screen analysis.
