Zoho Corporation, the global technology firm behind the Zoho and ManageEngine brands, has officially opened a new office in Subang Jaya, Selangor. This physical expansion marks a tangible step in the company’s long-standing presence in the region, housing teams from both its business application and enterprise IT management divisions under one roof. The move aligns with the broader narrative of Malaysia’s push towards becoming a regional digital center of excellence, a goal heavily supported by national initiatives like MyDIGITAL and the National E-Commerce Strategic Roadmap.
The timing of this expansion is far from coincidental. Malaysia’s digital ecosystem is currently experiencing a significant maturity phase, particularly in the realm of Artificial Intelligence. According to data cited during the launch, AI solution providers onboarded by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation have already generated MYR 1 billion in revenue, signaling a robust appetite for advanced digital tools. As local businesses across sectors—from FinTech and healthcare to logistics and manufacturing—increasingly pivot towards SaaS models for scalability, the demand for secure and cost-effective infrastructure has intensified.

For the local startup scene, this office opening reinforces a commitment made last year. In 2025, Zoho entered into a strategic partnership with Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd to integrate the Zoho for Startups programme into the MYStartup Single Window platform. This initiative is set to provide over MYR 30 million worth of software credits to approximately 3,000 startups. By lowering the barrier to entry for enterprise-grade tools, the programme aims to give improved scalability to emerging Malaysian businesses, allowing them to compete on a level playing field with larger regional players.
On the infrastructure side, the presence of ManageEngine addresses a critical vulnerability in the current digital landscape: cybersecurity. With cyber incidents causing losses exceeding MYR 1.22 billion in Malaysia between January and October 2024 alone, the conversation has shifted from mere digitization to digital resilience. Rajesh Ganesan, CEO of ManageEngine, noted that the division’s mission is to simplify the complexities of enterprise IT while ensuring that the digital infrastructure supporting these businesses remains robust and secure.
Beyond functioning as a workspace for its internal teams, the new Subang Jaya facility is designed to serve as a hub for community engagement. It will host skills development workshops, training programmes, and events aimed at upskilling local partners and customers. This focus on education is intended to help Malaysian enterprises not just adopt new technologies, but to build the internal competencies required to manage them effectively over the long term. As the ASEAN region continues to integrate digitally, this new hub positions Zoho and ManageEngine to play a more direct role in the daily operations of Malaysian businesses.
