OPPO is no stranger to foldables with its Find N2 flip having already made waves last year. The N3 Flip is geared to do the same with its flagship-class triple-sensor camera. In fact, it’s the first flip form factor to have one. And that’s not all it has…

Hey there! Jeevan here for techENT. This is the OPPO N3 Flip.

The Oppo Find N3 Flip is one of the prettiest flip phones available on the market right now. It’s coming in cream gold, mist pink, and astral black.

This new device may look very similar to the Find N2, but it’s got subtle updates that make it sleeker and nicer to hold in hand. The edges of the smartphone are more rounded for ergonomics and it’s got an alert slider.

On the front, it has a 3.26-inch AMOLED cover display complete with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The cover display is also one of the most robust with OPPO’s own mini-app system which is even more extensive this year thanks to more third-party support. These apps are also not cards but fully interactive apps with all the bells and whistles you would expect.

The new triple-sensor camera is housed in a round protrusion complete with the Hasselblad brand emblazoned on it. It comes with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX590 sensor paired with a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 sensor and a 48-megapixel Sony IMX581 sensor. This is, of course, complemented by software which is co-developed by  OPPO and Hasselblad.

The Find N3 Flip comes with the Mediatek Dimensity 9200. MediaTek’s latest 4nm processor promises great performance. It’s also got 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.

The main display of the Find N3 Flip is a 6/8-inch AMOLED panel with an FHD+ resolution. It’s built to be more power efficient with a polarizer-free design which lowers power consumption by 20%. The crease is also less prominent on the N3 Flip. In the middle of the screen is the 32-megapixel selfie camera.

To top things off, the Find N3 Flip is IPX4-rated meaning that it’s resistant to water spills. It also comes with an updated Flexion Hinge This has zero gap and also allows the crease to be less prominent. The new hinge is designed to bear 25% more weight than the N2.

All of this is powered by a 4,300mAh battery that supports SuperVOOC charging at 44W. OPPO claims it will give you a 50% charge in just 23 minutes.

That’s the Find N3 Flip. We’ll have more details in our article over on our website at techent.tv.

Productivity is the name of the game when it comes to OPPO’s New Find N3. The new book folding foldable comes with a bevvy of features designed to help you be productive on the go. But it’s not leaving OPPO’s camera expertise in the lurches either.

Hey there! Jeevan here for techENT. This is the OPPO N3.

The Oppo Find N3 has to be one of the only foldables that feels amazing in hand. OPPO has done some minor tweaks to the design making it more ergonomic and better suited for productivity. This year’s Find N3 is slightly taller than the N2 and comes with a larger aspect ratio.

It’s also thinner at 5.8mm thin and just 239g. While it may look a little bit cumbersome, it’s no thicker than a normal smartphone. Using it with one hand is also not much of an issue when its folded.

It comes with a 3rd generation flexion hinge which is made of a Zirconium-based liquid metal. This makes it 5 times more durable than stainless steel. It’s also certified for 1,000,000 folds by TUV Rheinland.
On the front, is a 6.3-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2484×1116 pixels. Unlike its competition, this screen comes with 120Hz. You’ve also got a 20MP selfie camera here.

When you open it, you have a 7.8-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2440×2268 pixels. You also have a 32MP selfie camera.
The version of ColorOS 13 on the Find N3 comes with a bevvy of features that support being productive on the go. The most unique is the way OPPO has implemented multiwindow multitasking.

You’ll be able to enter split-screen mode by literally cutting the screen in half with your finger. But, more significantly, the Find N3 is able to use multiple full-screen apps in a feature called Boundless View. You can swap between them by simply swiping between the windows.

On the back of the Find N3 is OPPO’s Hasselblad triple camera module. The camera module is house is really large camera hump which has some really interesting design details.

The triple camera sensor is made of a 48MP Sony LYTIA stacked sensor which is touted to have better image quality and low light performance, a 48-megapixel Sony IMX581 sensor and a 64MP Telephoto sensor with 6x optical zoom.

Under the hood is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It’s powered by a 4,800mAh battery with support for 67W SuperVOOC charging.

OPPO’s Find N3 Flip Makes International Debut

The OPPO Find N3 is just one of two devices that make up the Find N3 series. The other is the Find N3 Flip – yes, we’re talking about the one that debuted a few weeks ago in China. So why are we talking about it now? Well, it’s just cause we have new information for the international version of the phone. OPPO announced both devices for the international market.

OPPO Find N3 38

The international OPPO Find N3 Flip will be coming in a bevvy of colours: Sleek black, Cream Gold and Misty Pink. The Cream Gold colour is the hero of the trio with intricate details in the finishing of the smartphone. But you’re not looking at this smartphone just cause of the colours.

The Find N3 Flip is definitely more than just looks. It comes packed with the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 processor, one of the fastest and most power-packed processors on the market. It’s also got 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The package should be enough to get you through some gaming, work and even editing those portrait pictures you’ll undoubtedly be taking with the triple camera setup of the Flip.

OPPO Find N3 107

The hallmark feature of the N3 Flip isn’t the internals though. It’s the form factor and large cover screen. The N3 Flip comes with 3.26-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 382×720 pixels and a peak brightness of 900 nits. The cover display maintains its rectangular shape which looks like a shrunken-down version of the normal phone display. There are two reasons behind this choice according to OPPO. The first is to maintain and expand the functionality of mini-apps for the cover screen. OPPO has spent time collaborating with app developers to create mini-app versions of popular apps. This year, apps like Google Maps, Gmail, TikTok, Telegram and more now have fully functional mini-apps. The second is simply to make room for the first-ever triple-sensor camera setup on a clamshell form factor.

OPPO Find N3 105

Speaking of the camera, the OPPO Find N3 Flip comes with a triple sensor camera which has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS and an f/1.8 aperture, a 48-megapixel Sony IMX581 with an ultra-wide 115° field of view and auto-focus, and a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 with an f/2.2 aperture and 2x optical zoom. On the selfie front, it comes with a 32-megapixel sensor with autofocus and an f/2.4 aperture. The camera setup is co-developed with Hasselblad and features some distinct modes which are classic Hasselblad. Software-wise, OPPO is bringing its “A” game with its signature camera software enhanced with AI features. The combination allows users to get creamy, natural bokeh while taking deeply detailed shots even in low light.

The Find N3 Flip also comes with an improved hinge. The new hinge has a weight-bearing capacity that is 25% higher than the N2 Flip. It also features zero hinge gaps and an optimised design for better ergonomics. It’s even got an IPX4 rating. The edges are curved so that it feels natural in hand. The phone’s Flexform mode allows the hinge to be kept in place in FlexForm mode which keeps the display erect between 45 to 120 degrees.

OPPO Unfolds a New Level of Productivity and Design with the Find N3

OPPO isn’t content with just photography with their latest move into the foldable segment. The new lineup that makes up the Find N3 series proves that the company is looking beyond the perfect selfie or photo. With the flagship Find N3, OPPO is taking its ambitions to be one of the best in all categories seriously.

The OPPO Find N3 is a book-folding foldable smartphone. The outer display of this device is a 6.3-inch LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2,800 nits peak brightness. Unfolded the main screen stands out with a 7.8-inch LTPO display. Both share a 120Hz refresh rate and a pixel density of over 425 pixels per inch.

Display aside, the Find N3 comes with three powerful speakers for authentic stereo sound. The smartphone is also built for an immersive experience with support for Dolby Atmos and Spatial Sound. This is further enhanced by the performance-centred insides of the Find N3. The foldable comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 512GB of UFS4.0 storage and 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. All of this is powered by a 4,800 mAh battery which supports 67W SUPERVOOC Charging which gives you 80% charge in 30 minutes.

Durability is front and centre with the third-generation Flexion Hinge. The hinge is made of a Zirconium-based liquid metal which makes it 5x stronger than stainless steel. This durability is also been independently verified by TUV-Rheinland and is certified to last for 1,000,000 folds. The new design allows the Find N3 to be one of the slimmest foldable smartphones on the market coming in at only 11.7mm when closed and 5.8mm when opened. It’s also got to be one of the lightest with a weight of only 298g.

Finding that Perfect Photo with Hasselblad Camera Technology

The Find N3 comes with a triple camera setup co-developed by Hasselblad. It’s also one of the most powerful setups on the market with a 48-megapixel Sony LYTIA-T808 sensor as the main sensor. The new sensor can derive more detailed information from a single exposure thanks to the stacked CMOS sensors which process light better resulting in better dynamic range, enhanced details and reduced noise even for low-light pictures. The same rings true for video.

OPPO Find N3 33

The LYTIA-T808 is complemented by a 48-megapixel Sony IMX581 sensor. This comes with an ultrawide field of view and has autofocus. It’s also 100% larger than other flagship sensors. Completing the trio is a 64-megapixel periscope sensor which comes with an f/2.6 aperture. The combination of the three sensors will allow users to get the best performance from the camera in both low light and day light conditions. It’s also bringing along OPPO’s now signature portrait photography.

Colouring You Productive with ColorOS 13.2 Optimised for the Find N3’s Folds

The Find N3 isn’t running vanilla ColorOS 13.2, instead, OPPO has introduced a bevvy of features designed to help you stay productive even on the go. OPPO itself is touting it as “PC-Level productivity in your pocket”.

  • OPPO Find N3 51
  • OPPO Find N3 52
  • OPPO Find N3 53
  • OPPO Find N3 48
  • OPPO Find N3 49

Some of the optimisations of ColorOS 13.2 include the Global TaskBar, OPPO’s take on the taskbar from Android 13. This taskbar will not only give you your recent apps and quick start bar, it comes with a button for the app drawer in a manner similar to Windows’s Start button.

Find N3 Boundless View 15 inch

That’s not all though, OPPO is making it even easier to multitask with simple gestures to enable split-screen and other productivity modes. One of the unique features of the Find N3 is OPPO’s “Boundless View” which allows you to use up three apps simultaneously side-by-side with one of them just off-screen. You’ll be able to interact with the apps by simply swiping to see the app that is off-screen. But of course, being OPPO, this wasn’t enough. The company is also bringing an extension of this mode called “15-inch Boundless View” which displays all three apps in the 7.8-inch tablet view. OPPO touts this feature as a 15-inch display in your hands.

The OPPO Find N3 will be available in Champagne Gold which comes with a glass back and Classic Black which comes with a Vegan leather finish.

The Find N3 will be priced at MYR7,999 in Malaysia. Internationally, it will be priced at S$2399 which is about USD$1,747.56 or EUR€1,652.48.

OPPO Find N3 Flip to Debut on August 29, 2023, with the OPPO Watch 4 Pro

The upcoming wave of foldable devices from OPPO is starting to take shape, with clear glimpses into what’s to come. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has begun teasing its Find N3 Flip and the Watch 4 Pro smartwatch on Weibo, setting a confirmed launch date for later this month on August 29.

The promotional content showcases the Find N3 Flip in a champagne-gold hue, giving us a sneak peek at its new circular triple-camera setup. This innovative departure from its predecessor, the N2 Flip, introduces a triple-camera arrangement, a first for flip-style foldables. The LED flash is positioned just below the Hasselblad-backed container.

OPPO Find N3 Flip Screnshot2

Adjacent to the camera array is the external cover screen. This display, expected to measure around 3 inches based on rumours, is oriented vertically on the cover panel – a design choice unique to the Find N3 Flip.

A teaser video featuring Actress and Model, Shu Qi, gives us a glimpse of the upcoming foldable and its UI.

Together with the OPPO Find N3 Flip, OPPO also shared images of the Watch 4 Pro. It looks like the company will be keeping the Watch 3’s design, however, it does appear like the Watch 4 Pro boasts a slightly curved glass layer and features a physical button and rotating crown on its right side.

The Watch 4 Pro’s specifications have been teased, including confirmation of the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chip – the same as its predecessor. The Watch 4 Pro is equipped with ECG, temperature, and SpO2 sensors that continue the line’s fitness and health focus. It’s also rumoured to come with over 85 apps and 2GB of RAM.

Rumours of the Find N3 Flip point to the foldable having a 6.8-inch internal display, akin to the OPPO Find N2 Flip. The circular triple-camera array is rumoured to comprise a 50MP primary camera, 8MP ultrawide, and a 32MP telephoto lens.

What sets the Find N3 Flip apart is the inclusion of the telephoto lens, a departure from competitors like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Motorola Razr Plus, which omit such a feature.

Hasselblad Goes Completely Mirrorless

For years, imaging companies have been avoiding mirrorless technologies in their consumer or prosumer grade cameras. Canon, Nikon, and even Hasselblad has fallen on the same boat for years since their inception. While they are not in the same playing field, they recognise the benefits of a DSLR, a camera with a single reflex mirror sitting in front of their sensors. The system was simple, and rather accurate, since you are looking at a mirror, not a digital representation of images. You are not looking into a pixelated display that offers subpar image qualities and resolutions to frame your images. Once you are ready, the shutter button pulls a lever that lifts the mirror mechanism up to reveal the sensor to your desired frame and captures your image.

Technology of mirrorless cameras have progressed plenty though. Sony’s Alpha division have championed the mirrorless camera technology for far longer than any major camera manufacturer and made it their brand. With every iteration, the mirrorless camera takes not only a new form, but also some kind of major evolution. The mirrorless camera from Sony has proven to be some of the most versatile and reliable cameras on the planet. Major news outlets have also started to adopt mirrorless cameras as their sole go to when it comes to imaging purposes. Even Canon and Nikon had to admit defeat by introducing their EOS R and Z series cameras and lenses, and then announcing last year that they are going to focus on mirrorless cameras instead of developing new DLSRs.

Source: Hasselblad

Hasselblad is the latest to join the band of camera makers that is abandoning the DSLR. They are not the only medium-format camera maker to go mirrorless exclusive though. Fujifilm has also championed mirrorless cameras, especially with their GFX medium-format cameras which has proved to not only be the more affordable option for that time of camera, but also more popular amongst photographers.

For Hasselblad, they have announced (not directly) that the latest Hasselblad H system will be the last of their DSLR product. According to the third-party announcement, Hasselblad will not take any more orders for the H system. They also mentioned that the H system line-up or products has officially all sold out and will not be replaced. The third-party vendor that pushed the announcement even mentioned that they cannot even replace their old malfunctioning parts. That also means that Hasselblad is completely and decisively abandoning the entire H series and its user base.

Source: Hasselblad

So, what if you want a Hasselblad for your studio? They have the X2D system. It is not like the H series camera though, at least not in modularity. For the X2D system, you go back to the camera body complete with its grip and sensor built-in and choose a lens for it. You get to choose between the 100C or 50C; either 100-Megapixel sensor, or 50-Megapixel sensor. The biggest upside to this and mirrorless camera is the reduction in camera size. The Hasselblad X2D series of cameras look more like a normal full-frame camera instead of a behemoth sized rig. While the sensor size prevents the camera from getting smaller, the Hasselblad X2D cameras are a lot more portable and simpler to handle. That means that you can technically take it out to the field for some stunning and highly detailed images on-the-go. It is still bulkier than modern mirrorless cameras from the likes of Canon and Nikon though, so you want to keep that in mind.

You might think that the X2D system might be more affordable. You would be right if you compare it to the H system. It is still EUR€ 8,699 (MYR 42,592*) for one X2D 100C though, which is not exactly a small amount of money, considering. The X2D 50C starts at EUR€ 6,000 (MYR 29,377*), which is slightly more affordable than the 100C, but still not what you want to call cheap. Then there are the lenses which starts off at EUR€ 1,199 (MYR 5,870*) at the very least. Still, better than paying EUR€ 34,680 (MYR 168,785*) for just a camera body. More information on Hasselblad’s latest products can be found on their website.

*approximately based on the exchange rate of EUR€ 1 = MYR 4.90 as of 16/05/2023 on xe.com

OPPO Launches the Find X5 Pro 5G in Malaysia – Another Hasselblad Masterclass at MYR 4,999

When OnePlus launched their flagships with Hasselblad branding to sport their newfound partnership and investment, we were excited. It meant a new dawn for smartphone photography, especially in the OnePlus devices which have always been a pleasure to work with, but can be a nightmare to take photos with, in the past. The result was nothing short of breath taking at the time. OnePlus flagships finally had great cameras to work with and Hasselblad successfully penetrated the mobile photography space, except they were a little out of their depth with smaller than small camera sensors. Still, they know a thing or two about cameras, and they managed to pull together something for the OnePlus devices.

We knew as well that it was just a matter of time before the Hasselblad name gets passed around within the brands associated with OnePlus, namely OPPO. It did not happen in the previous OPPO Find X, but it is happening now with the OPPO Find X5 series. But there is more to this OPPO flagship that makes it an even better mobile photography machine compared to even the OnePlus.]

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 – Still the Best

To start with, The OPPO Find X5 Pro, the most powerful device OPPO has ever created, is packing a powerhouse of a System on a Chip (SoC) in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Yes, the Gen 2 is coming, but the Gen 1 is till the most powerful SoC you can find today. Pair that to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, the device should not break any sweats even with multiple apps running in the background while you game to your heart’s content. But OPPO also understands that sometimes, one processor is not enough; you need two dedicated chips to get things done properly.

MariSilicon X – the Power of Light

The in-house developed NPU powers the three cameras out the back. You get one 50-Megapixel main camera with f/1.7 maximum aperture, another 50-Megapixel underneath an ultra-wide lens at f/2.2 aperture, and a 13-Megapixel telephoto camera. They call it the 4K Ultra night video camera and the MariSilicon X NPU is supposed to be the star of the show here. The new NPU allows more light to be captured by the camera in 4K resolution even in low-light settings. That also allows the cameras to capature HDR footages with more details even at night. For the first time ever as well, there is a 5-axis optical image stabiliser (OIS) fitted to the main camera for a smoother, more stable footage or images. Of course, there is Hasselblad’s input and engineering that allows the OPPO Find X5 Pro to capture colours more naturally and accurately.

Brilliant Display – Beauty is in the Eyes of its Beholder

To top everything off is a brilliant 6.7-inch display that boasts QHD+ 1440p resolutions. AMOLED LTPO panel also houses a 32-Megapixel selfie camera that captures great looking self-portraits. Protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus, the 10-bit 100% DCI-P3 display also boasts up to 120Hz in refresh rate and 240Hz in touch sampling rate. If that is not a brilliant display to enjoy contents, we don’t know what is.

Long Lasting Battery, or is it Batteries?

For the OPPO Find X5 Pro, OPPO decided that two batteries are better than one. In the standpoint of durability, heat spread, and even speed, it certainly is. The OPPO Find X5 Pro packs two 2,500mAh batteries to make a single 5,000mAh battery. That allows OPPO to fit their SUPERVOOC charging technology with up to 80W speeds and AIRVOOC technology at 50W without heating up the batteries too much. It also allows an even spread of heat energy to ensure that heat is always kept at a comfortable level while handling the device.

Price and Availability

The OPPO Find X5 Pro is now available for pre-order until 27th of May 2022 via OPPO’s official web store, Shopee, and Lazada. You can get your hands on one for MYR 4,999 and you can choose between Ceramic Black or Ceramic White colour options. If you do pre-order your OPPO Find X5 Pro smartphone from the online stores, you are entitled to free gifts worth up to MYR 1,726, including an OPPO Enco X2, 1-year Screen Protection, and 1-year Extended Warranty, and Kevlar phone case. More information on the OPPO Find X5 Pro can be found on their website

OPPO Debuts the MariSilicon X NPU with the Find X5 series

OPPO’s looking to up the ante with nighttime videography with the Find X5 series. For now, OPPO’s flagship series will consist of the OPPO Find X5 Pro, the OPPO Find X5 and the OPPO Find X5 Lite. The Find X5 and Find X5 Pro will feature OPPO’s customised, dedicated imaging NPU – the MariSilicon X which they announced back during OPPO Inno Day.

The Find X5 & X5 Pro – True Flagship Technology

OPPO’s flagship device – the Find X5 Pro – will feature Qualcomm’s latest and greatest, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The new octa-core processor built on 4nm fabrication promises better power efficiency, processing performance and graphical performance. The Find X5, on the other hand, will feature the Snapdragon 888. The two smartphones are also the first smartphones touting OPPO’s MariSilicon X technology.

They both come with AMOLED panels capable of replicating 1 billion colours with a 120Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus for added protection. However, the Pro comes with a larger 6.7-inch display size with a QHD+ resolution while the regular Find X5 comes with a slightly smaller 6.55-inch display with an FHD+ resolution. Both also come with UFS 3.1 storage technology for faster storage with better read and write performance.

The Pro comes with configurations with up to 512GB of onboard storage and 12GB of RAM while the Find X5 has only been announced with a single configuration of 256GB with 8GB of RAM. Both don’t support microSD cards.

Design-wise, the phones sport an updated aesthetic from the Find X3. OPPO has made the curves more seamless giving it a little bit more of a futuristic feel. They’ve also opted to use ceramic instead of glass on the Find X5 and Find X5 Pro. According to them, it’s sturdier and more durable. The sleek, seamless integration of the camera hump is still there on the Find X5 series.

MariSilicon X Backed Camera Setups for Better Nighttime Video Performance

The Find X5 series is banking on the added umph of OPPO’s MariSilicon X. The dedicated photography and videography NPU is being touted as the backbone for most of the upgrades we see in the image and video processing in the Find X5 and Find X5 Pro.

Hardware Tuned to Keep Up with the MariSilicon X

Let’s look at the camera hardware first. The Find X5 and the Find X5 Pro both come with triple sensor setups. The Pro comes with a 50-megapixel, 1/1.56-inch main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture with multidirectional PDAF and OIS with 3-axis sensor shift and 2-axis lens shift. This is complemented with 13-megapixel, 1/1.34-inch telephoto sensor capable of 2x optical zoom with an f/2.4 aperture and PDAF and a second 50-megapixel, 1/1.56-inch ultrawide sensor with f/2.2 aperture with multidirectional PDAF. The regular Find X5 comes with a less robust 50-megapixel main sensor. The front camera sensor on both is a 32-megapixel wide sensor with gyro-EIS.

The mainstay of the MariSilicon X is its ability process imaging information on the fly. However, the hardware is only part of the equation. OPPO has bolstered the software to take advantage of the powerful hardware. Firstly, it’s teamed up with Hasselblad to bring true to life colours in still images in the camera’s pro mode. Then it’s also taking full advantage of the advanced NPU in its new 4K Ultra Night Video feature. With the backing on the NPU, the Find X5 and the Find X5 Pro are able to capture high resolution video in the dark. The video also has better dynamic range allowing it preserve more detail.

A Rebadged Reno 7 In the Tailgating Find X5 Lite

If you’ve realised, we didn’t mention much about the Find X5 Lite. This was intentional cause the Lite version of the Find X5 is simply a rebadged Reno7 smartphone. There’s no indication that the smartphone carries the same MariSilicon X NPU for the improved photography either. So, if you’re interested in getting the lowdown on the Find X5 Lite, you can refer to our article on the Reno7.

The DJI Revolution is Here in the Form of the Mavic 3 with Prices from MYR 9,799

Rarely today you get a product that is leaps and bound from its previous generation product that it would replace. Then again, there is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX, the new 12th Generation Intel Core Alder Lake processors, and even AMD’s Ryzen processors. Maybe a huge generational gap is not that unique after all. This DJI Mavic 3 though, is a special one.

The DJI Mavic 3 is meant to replace the DJI Mavic 2 series of drones. If you remember, the DJI Mavic 2 came in two flavours; the Pro and Zoom. The Pro variant comes with a Hasselblad engineered camera module while the Zoom variant comes with a camera module with optical zoom lens, you get the idea. The DJI Mavic 3 does not follow the same path with the Mavic 2 series though. Instead, DJI introduced one Mavic 3, and one Mavic 3 Cine edition.

The Mavic 3 series has more in common with the DJI Mavic 2 Pro than the Zoom variant. It packs a 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad engineered camera. The only traces of the Zoom variant is its 28x hybrid zoom capability.

The camera module, to be fair, is not that big of an improvement compared to the older Mavic 2 Pro to be fair. It records videos at up to 5.1K resolution at 50 fps. The biggest improvement is on its 4K resolution recording though. Now you can record 4K videos at 120fps for even better-looking slow-motion videos. This is where the Mavic 3 stops and where the Cine edition starts.

The Mavic 3 Cine edition is truly a special thing. It offers Apple ProRes 422 HQ encoding for even higher quality videos for post processing. It is not RAW, but it is the first integrated drone system that can record at ProRes 422 HQ format. Of course, if you choose to record at that format, ou are going to run out of storage space pretty quickly if you use a humble SDXC memory card. The Cine edition has a 1TB internal SSD storage for all your recording needs though.

Longer, Smarter Flights

To ensure that your Mavic 3 does not get tumbled around mid-air, it has even more sensors than before too. It now packs omnidirectional sensors that can detect objects up to 200 meters away just so that it knows where and when to stop or how to avoid the obstacle. It is the easiest full-sized Mavic to fly. It is even cleverer too. It can track a subject, lose it if it goes out of frame, and pick it back up as soon as the subject comes back into the frame with ActiveTrack 5.0. It can even follow the subject wherever it moves. Of course, it also comes with the array of other precision sensors to ensure that it knows where it is at any given time. With the help of GPS, GLONASS< and BeiDou satellites too, it knows where to return to when you call it home or when its battery is running out.

It boasts 15km of remote range with DJI O3+. Even with interference, you are not going to lose remote signal or even clear video signal from 15km away. DJI boasts that this drone can transmit 1080p Full HD/60fps live feed over that distance without loss or lag. Of course, you might not fly the DJI Mavic 3 to that full range, but it is nice to know it can. What is more impressive is that DJI managed to extend the battery life of the Mavic 3 to up to 46 minutes instead of the mere 30 minutes the previous versions used to boast.

Price and Availability
