Buying a blender or rice cooker could soon become as easy as picking up snacks or groceries. Midea Malaysia has announced a strategic partnership with 99 Speed Mart that will see a selection of its small home appliances arrive at the retailer’s more than 3,100 stores nationwide starting August 2026.
The collaboration was formalised through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Shah Alam between Midea Malaysia and 99 Speed Mart. The move expands Midea’s retail footprint in Malaysia while giving consumers another convenient avenue to purchase the brand’s home appliances through one of the country’s largest neighbourhood retail chains.
Rather than relying solely on electronics retailers, authorised dealers and its growing network of Midea Brand Stores, the partnership allows the company to bring its products closer to where Malaysians already shop for their everyday essentials. According to Midea Malaysia, the collaboration is part of its broader strategy to improve accessibility and strengthen its presence in the local market.
Starting August 2026, customers will be able to purchase a selection of Midea’s small home appliances at 99 Speed Mart outlets nationwide, including Blenders, Electric Kettles, Rice cookers, Table and stand fans, Bread toaster and toaster ovens, stick vacuum cleaners, and stainless steel gas stoves.

The partnership reflects a broader shift in retail, with consumer electronics brands increasingly looking beyond traditional electrical and appliance stores to reach consumers where they already shop. By tapping into 99 Speed Mart’s nationwide presence, Midea is making smaller household appliances more accessible without requiring shoppers to make a separate trip to an electronics retailer.
For 99 Speed Mart, the move also broadens its product offering beyond groceries and household essentials. While the retailer has steadily expanded its range of everyday products over the years, the addition of small home appliances introduces a new category that complements its “Near n’ Save” concept of providing convenient access to everyday necessities.
The collaboration builds on Midea’s continued expansion in Malaysia, following the launch of 18 Midea Brand Stores nationwide last year. Combined with its existing authorised dealer network, the addition of 99 Speed Mart gives the brand another channel to reach consumers as demand grows for affordable and accessible home appliances.
Midea’s selected range of small home appliances is expected to be available at 99 Speed Mart outlets nationwide from August 2026.
