CelcomDigi has introduced its newly enhanced suite of Postpaid 5G plans to address the shifting demands of Malaysian users who are increasingly consuming high-definition content and navigating a web filled with potential security pitfalls. The telco’s latest offering moves away from complex quota splitting and leans into a more straightforward proposition that combines uncapped speeds, premium content bundles, and integrated safety features.
Unlimited Connectivity with Postpaid 5G 190, 160, 140, and 120
At the top of this refreshed hierarchy sit four distinct plans that share a common “Unlimited” DNA. The Postpaid 5G 190, 160, 140, and 120 tiers all offer unlimited 5G and 4G Internet access with what the telco terms “Ultimate Uncapped” speeds. This is a significant shift for users who are tired of hitting fair usage policies or seeing their 5G connection throttled down to 4G speeds after a certain usage threshold.

A major advantage across these four tiers is the policy regarding hotspot usage. Tethering and hotspot functions are fully uncapped and share the same “Ultimate” speed profile as the main line. This means users can share their connection with laptops or tablets without suffering from the artificial speed limits often imposed on hotspot data. Since the data quota is unlimited on these tiers, the hotspot capability effectively serves as a powerful portable Wi-Fi solution without the fear of running dry.
The differences between these four plans lie primarily in the bundled lifestyle perks. The flagship Postpaid 5G 190 includes complimentary access to both Prime Video and Viu Premium, along with free 30GB roaming in Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand. The Postpaid 5G 160 retains Prime Video but drops the specific roaming quota, while the Postpaid 5G 140 strips away the content subscriptions for a leaner package. The entry-point to this unlimited tier, the Postpaid 5G 120, brings back Viu Premium but offers a lower discount rate for supplementary lines compared to its more expensive siblings.
Limited High Speed Internet with Postpaid 5G 100 and 80
For users who know their consumption limits and want to maximise value, CelcomDigi offers two capped options that still provide substantial data allowances. The Postpaid 5G 100 plan comes with a massive 500GB quota for both mobile data and hotspot usage, capped at a “Premium” speed of 500Mbps.
Sitting at the base of the lineup is the Postpaid 5G 80. This plan provides 300GB of 5G/4G data and hotspot access, with speeds capped at an “Advance” tier of 300Mbps. While these plans do have speed limits, 300Mbps and 500Mbps are vastly higher than what is required for typical 4K streaming or gaming, making them highly practical options for the majority of consumers. As with the unlimited tiers, the hotspot function draws directly from the main 500GB or 300GB quota without separate restrictions.

Enhanced Security and Family Flexibility
Recognising that the modern internet is as dangerous as it is useful, CelcomDigi has embedded security directly into the network layer. The “WebSHIELD” feature is now a standard inclusion for all plans from the Postpaid 5G 100 tier onwards. This tool operates in the background to provide enhanced protection against phishing sites, malware, and other cyber threats. For the average user, this means an added layer of defence that does not require installing third-party apps or configuring complex settings.
Supplementary Lines with No Limitations
The refresh also addresses the “second-class citizen” treatment of supplementary lines. In this new suite, supplementary lines are eligible for the full plan benefits, meaning family members are not relegated to slower speeds or significantly smaller quotas.
For a limited time, CelcomDigi is offering a rebate of up to RM 120 for customers who port in to these new Postpaid 5G plans. Existing customers can also upgrade to these refreshed tiers to access the new benefits immediately.
