At the biennial Mostra Convegno Expocomfort 2026 tradeshow in Milan, Italy, the company officially showcased its latest comprehensive lineup of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions specifically tailored for the European market. The new portfolio focuses heavily on combining energy-efficient hardware with advanced artificial intelligence to simplify daily temperature management for both homeowners and massive commercial spaces.
Rethinking Residential Heating and Water
For the everyday consumer, LG is significantly expanding its residential heating portfolio to address diverse home environments. A major highlight of the showcase is the Therma V Monobloc S, an all-in-one solution that utilises R290 refrigerant. This specific refrigerant is notable for its exceptionally low Global Warming Potential, making it a much more environmentally conscious choice compared to legacy options. The system seamlessly combines a buffer tank, a domestic hot water tank, and a control unit to deliver high-efficiency space heating and hot water supply from a single footprint.
LG also introduced its award-winning new indoor units for air-to-water heat pump systems, categorised into Control, Hydro, and Combi configurations. Beyond their refined aesthetics, these units are highly practical, featuring an intuitive 6.8-inch colour touchscreen interface. More importantly, they are fully integrated with Wi-Fi and the LG ThinQ ecosystem. This connectivity allows homeowners to remotely monitor their energy usage, simplify system commissioning, and manage their home’s climate directly from their smartphones.
AI-Driven Home Cooling
When it comes to residential cooling, artificial intelligence is taking the wheel. LG’s new lineup, which includes the DUALCOOL AI, ARTCOOL AI, and ARTCOOL Gallery models, is designed to deliver a highly personalised comfort experience. Utilising the company’s proprietary AI Air technology, these smart air conditioners actively analyse your daily usage patterns alongside real-time indoor conditions. Instead of relying on manual adjustments, the system automatically fine-tunes the airflow direction, fan speed, and temperature to maintain optimal comfort.
Scaling Up for Commercial Operations
The technical upgrades extend well beyond the living room. For commercial operators, LG redesigned its Multi V i VRF system to prioritise both efficiency and strict safety standards. Utilising low-GWP R32 refrigerant, the system incorporates robust automated sensors capable of instantly triggering protection protocols if a refrigerant leak is detected, ensuring absolute operational safety and business continuity.
To further streamline commercial deployments, LG is partnering with Hoval, a prominent European air handling unit specialist. This collaboration allows LG’s VRF systems to seamlessly integrate with Hoval’s hardware, creating highly adaptable, high-performance climate solutions for sprawling commercial facilities. To manage these massive setups, network administrators can rely on the LG ACP i controller, which utilises an AI-optimised interface to provide accurate, site-wide energy analysis and intuitive system control. For even larger operations, LG’s Inverter Scroll Heat Pump Chillers offer modular expansion, allowing businesses to easily scale their climate control systems as their physical footprint grows.
