LG SIGNATURE AND JOHN LEGEND DELIVER UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE AT CEDIA EXPO 2022

Premium Brand and Renowned Singer-Songwriter Team Up for an Evening of Innovation, Music and Culinary Delights at North American Home Tech Conference

SEOUL, South Korea, Oct. 4, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — LG Electronics (LG) home entertainment innovations – led by the world’s largest OLED TV, the 97-inch G2 OLED evo Gallery Edition, and ultra-premium LG SIGNATURE OLED TVs – shared the spotlight with multi-talented musician and LG SIGNATURE brand ambassador John Legend last week during one of North America’s premier home tech conferences.

LG’s booth at the 2022 CEDIA Expo in Dallas, Texas, USA was set up for visitors to experience how the company is reshaping home entertainment with stunning, technologically advanced TVs such as the 97-inch G2 OLED evo, making its U.S. debut, and the award-winning 88-inch LG SIGNATURE OLED 8K TV. To end the first day of the show on a high note, LG SIGNATURE teamed up with Legend to host an invitation-only, offsite VIP customer event.

The evening started with Legend sharing the story of his continuing journey with LG SIGNATURE. He also highlighted how the brand’s incredibly convenient and effortlessly elegant products, including the LG SIGNATURE OLED R (the world’s first rollable TV), InstaView Door-in-Door Refrigerator and Wine Cellar, have elevated his newly renovated pool house (revealed this September in The Legendary House). The perfect blend of art and technology, form and function, LG SIGNATURE’s luxury lifestyle solutions played a key role in realizing Legend’s redesigned – and highly relaxing – residential space.

Following the brief remarks was a special performance by the Grammy-award winning artist himself, which included his ode to LG SIGNATURE, “You Deserve It All.” In addition to first-class entertainment, guests were treated to the limited-edition Legend X SIGNATURE wine, a 2018-vintage cabernet sauvignon released under Legend’s own LVE label. Prior to being served, the bottles were kept perfectly chilled inside the temperature-and humidity-controlled LG SIGNATURE Wine Cellar, the ultimate home solution for wine afficionados.

“It’s always great to be able to share the unique experiences that only LG SIGNATURE  makes possible  and to create unforgettable moments that capture the essence of our brand,” said Lee Jeong-seok, head of LG Electronics’ Global Marketing Center. “Working with John, who is the perfect ambassador for LG SIGNATURE, we aim to continue offering more engaging and extraordinary experiences and reach a bigger audience worldwide.”

“It was a wonderful experience to be a part of this year’s CEDIA Expo together with LG SIGNATURE,” said Legend. “I’m sure that everyone who saw the brand’s latest cutting-edge innovations at the show came away deeply impressed by their seamless blend of art and technology.”

Automation Anywhere and the Center for Humanitarian Technology Launch ‘Telegram for Humanity’ Bot to Aid Refugees in Ukraine

Relief organization automates humanitarian efforts for thousands of families across Ukraine saving hundreds of hours of manual processing each week

DNIPRO, Ukraine and New York, Oct. 4, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — At Imagine 2022, Automation Anywhere, Inc., the global leader in cloud-native intelligent automation, today announced a collaboration with the Center for Humanitarian Technology (CFHT), a nonprofit that provides technology and operations solutions to humanitarian organizations. Together, Automation Anywhere and CFHT are enabling a greater number of internally displaced people and refugees to receive humanitarian aid in Ukraine.

In collaboration, Automation Anywhere and CFHT created the ‘Telegram for Humanity’ Bot — a customized software bot, or digital worker for Step with Hope (Крок з надією), a Ukrainian humanitarian organization that provides aid to more than 8,000 families each week in combat zones and recently released territories in southern Ukraine.

The ‘Telegram for Humanity’ bot is automating thousands of manual requests for aid with increased speed and accuracy, saving the organization nearly 200 hours of manual processing each week. This is expected to free up Step with Hope’s 96 volunteers across 20 centers to increase their efforts of direct assistance for refugees, providing food, hygiene kits and access to psychologists, lawyers, and child welfare specialists to those in need.

“Members of our volunteer team are refugees themselves, and the ability to help other Ukrainians is our main priority,” said Alla Semenchuk, Operations Director of CFHT. “It’s critical and tremendously challenging work to find and manage the distribution of necessary resources for refugees and internally displaced people. The customized bot that Automation Anywhere and CFHT have built for Step with Hope is both refugee-friendly and volunteer-friendly—it makes application processing quick and transparent, saving human effort and strengthening the organization’s structure.”

As part of its Social Impact Program, Automation Anywhere’s mission is to fuel the future of work by empowering nonprofits and uplifting human lives through automation technology.

“Technology is all about human enablement,” said Neeti Shukla, Social Impact Officer and Co-Founder, Automation Anywhere. “In collaboration with CFHT, we are proud to support this humanitarian effort with life-saving technology that can make a difference to the millions of Ukrainians that have been displaced by conflict.”

“CFHT and Automation Anywhere’s collaboration to build a custom bot for Step with Hope has enabled us to provide humanitarian aid to a greater number of internally displaced people in Ukraine,” said Inna Kampen, Director of Step with Hope. “Our volunteers and the families we serve are enduring the unthinkable. Having a responsive, user-friendly bot to interact with vulnerable families who are requesting help allows the volunteers to use more of their valuable time providing direct support, while spending less time processing and validating requests manually.”

The New Logitech G502 X Reinvents Logitech G’s Most Popular Gaming Mouse

Logitech G is a brand that is no stranger to gamers. In fact, it’s one of the most popular gaming brands in the market at the moment particularly when it comes to gaming peripherals like mouses, keyboards and headphones. Over the years, the brand has become synonymous with some of the best gaming peripherals and esports teams.

One of their most popular offerings is their Logitech G502 gaming mouse. The lineup is one of the more affordable gaming mouses on the market. However, it’s always struck an impressive balance between affordability and functionality. Logitech is updating and reimagining the mouse with the announcement of their new Logitech G502 X lineup. Yep – that’s right a lineup. Not only is the mouse getting a design revamp, but it’s also becoming its own line.

The new lineup will consist of three mouses: the Logitech G502 X, the Logitech G502 X PLUS and the Logitech 502 X LIGHTSPEED. Each of the mouses in the lineup has its own unique features but shares a common set of base features that are signature to the G502 X line.

LIGHTFORCE Technology with LIGHTSPEED Latency

The biggest change in the G502 X lineup is the introduction of a new hybrid switch – the LIGHTFORCE. The new microswitch technology combines the speed and responsiveness of optical technology with the actuation and tactility of mechanical switches. The switch uses galvanic parts that operate like mechanical switches. Paired with the optical component of the LIGHTFORCE switch, Logitech is able to deliver an experience that is reliable with ultra-low latency actuation.

The G502 X has been redesigned from the ground up to cater to a wider group of gamers. It now features a redesigned, reversible and removable DPI-shift button to fit into any sized hand and accommodate any grip type. The scroll wheel is also redesigned to be lighter and more stable. However, it still retains the iconic dual hyper-fast infinite scroll and rachet modes of the G502.

All models in the new G502 X come with the HERO 25K high-precision gaming sensor. The sensor offers a 1:1 accuracy ratio at sub-micron levels. It also provides zero smoothing, filtering or acceleration making it more natural and intuitive to use. The HERO sensor and LIGHTFORCE technology work hand in hand allowing the new G502 X to have response times up to 68% faster than the previous generation.

The PLUS & LIGHTSPEED Factors

The Logitech G502 X PLUS and LIGHTSPEED feature LIGHTSPEED wireless technology. This allows low latency wireless connectivity between the PC and the mouse. What’s more, the new generation LIGHTSPEED protocol allows for up to two devices to connect to one receiver. So, you’ll be able to connect your new gaming mouse to LIGHTSPEED receivers if you have an existing LIGHTSPEED peripheral like the Logitech G915 or G715 gaming keyboards.

They also charge over USB-C. Additionally, the wireless versions of the G502 X are also compatible with the Logitech G POWERPLAY wireless charging mat which is able to charge the mouse while in use providing it with endless charge. The PLUS variant also comes with LIGHTSYNC RGB. This will allow you to customise the 8-LED lighting to fit your style and game.

Pricing & Availability

The new Logitech G502 X lineup is already available from retailers as well as official Logitech stores on Lazada and Shopee. The G502 X will retail for MYR319 while the G502 X LIGHTSPEED and PLUS will be priced at MYR549 and MYR689 respectively.

All G502 X mouses are available in Black and White colourways.

Global AdTech Company TripleLift Names Dave Clark as New Chief Executive Officer

Digital media executive joins company as it accelerates media + data strategy and international expansion

NEW YORK, Oct. 4, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — TripleLift, the advertising technology company reinventing ad placement, today announced that Dave Clark has joined as its Chief Executive Officer. Clark most recently served as General Manager at FreeWheel, a Comcast Company. He replaces Eric Berry, the company’s co-founder and CEO, who is stepping away from his role overseeing TripleLift’s day-to-day operations. Berry will continue with the company as a member of its Board of Directors. The change comes after years of consistent growth and numerous milestone achievements for TripleLift, including the sale of the company to Vista Equity Partners and recent acquisition of 1plusX, a global first-party data activation platform.

Dave Clark is a seasoned digital media executive with over two decades of experience spanning ad tech, streaming, software and publishing. Prior to FreeWheel, he held numerous leadership roles at both high-growth and established companies including The Weather Channel, Viacom, and Fuse TV. Known for his considerable operational and sales expertise, Clark has a track-record of capitalizing on a company’s strength and seizing new growth opportunities to maximize future potential.

“For years, I have been inspired by TripleLift’s rise to become a top global supply side platform through its impactful formats, market-leading data solutions and by delivering unmatched customer service,” said Clark, TripleLift’s new CEO. “I am eager to maintain the path that has made this company so successful and to continue its vision of bringing media and data together – from native to CTV.”

“Dave’s deep, hands-on experience across digital media, and his ability to accelerate growth for both mature and emerging companies, makes him uniquely positioned to lead TripleLift forward,” said Berry, TripleLift’s co-founder. “Since founding this company over a decade ago, I’ve had the privilege to work alongside such a talented team who has helped realize our growth potential. Going forward, I’m incredibly confident that Dave is the right person to lead TripleLift in its next chapter.”

Clark’s appointment comes in a year of rapid change for TripleLift. In March, the company completed its acquisition of 1plusX, a global first-party data activation platform, to accelerate its media + data strategy and enhance its portfolio of first-party data solutions for publishers and advertisers. In August, it announced an expansion of its business into the DACH region, bringing new markets to an already long list of regions outside the U.S. from EMEA to APAC. In September, it announced Vevo as another major streaming partner to integrate the company’s ground-breaking CTV In-Show technology, which inserts brands and products into television programming through post-production product placement.

Additionally, Ari Lewine, Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer, and Jacqueline Quantrell, Chief Revenue Officer, will be leaving their roles at the company.

“Eric, Ari and Jax have each individually played integral roles in building TripleLift into the immensely successful company it is today. We are grateful for Eric and Ari’s determination to achieve their founding vision and for Jax’s commitment to growing the business during her successful five year tenure as Chief Revenue Officer,” said Martin Taylor, Managing Direct at Vista Equity Partners, President of OneVista, and TripleLift Board Member. “In Dave, we have found a CEO whose experience closely matches the ambitions of the company and who can step in on Day 1 to ensure TripleLift’s customers continue to get the service they expect and results they require.”

Garmin Releases Their Most Affordable Smartwatches Yet – the Venu Sq 2 and Venu Sq 2 Music Edition

When we say affordable, you want to take it with a pinch of salt. The new Garmin Venu Sq2 will set you back at least MYR 1,230 still. The Music Edition will set you an extra MYR 250 on top of the regular smartwatch. While it is the most accessible Garmin smartwatch, it is not the cheapest smartwatch you can find out there.

No matter though, this is currently the most affordable Garmin wristwear you can find to date. It may be affordable, but it is still feature packed enough that you are not going to feel like you missed out on the Garmin experience.

It still packs a heart rate tracker, one of the most accurate out there if it is the same one you find on other Garmin watches. Alongside the heartrate tracker are over 25 specific sports mode tracking, that includes running and walking. If you are into running, there is a personal running coach with training plans. Alongside those features, the Garmin Venu Sq 2 packs a sleep monitoring feature, which should be quite standard for most fitness trackers today. There is also specific health tracker for women’s menstrual cycle or pregnancy via the Garmin Connect app.

All of these can be viewed via a square 1.4-inch AMOLED display that is colourful and bright even in the outdoors. If you are the type that is hardly into wearing heavy wristwear, you might hardly notice this one with its lightweight aluminium construction. Within the body is a battery that Garmin claims to last up to 12 days at a time.

Yes, there is a Music Edition for the Garmin Venu Sq, just like the Forerunner series. There are no fundamental design changes from the Music Edition to the regular square smartwatch. It allows you to store up to 500 songs on the watch itself though, including your favourite work out and running playlists on your Spotify, Amazon Music, and Deezer. That way, you may not even need to bring your smartphone out with you for your runs and work out sessions so that you can just focus.

Acer’s Sustainable Laptop – the Aspire Vero – Gets an Intel 12th Gen Refresh

Acer is updating their most sustainable laptop – the Acer Aspire Vero – with 12th Generation Intel Core processors. The update brings even more power and battery efficiency thanks to a change in the microarchitecture compared to the previous generation.

The newly refreshed Aspire Vero comes with options for the 12th Generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors. Both come with Intel Xe Graphics built-in.
