“This pandemic has not only affected Indonesia but the whole world too. Everybody is going through a hard time. Therefore, through our previous donation activity, even just a little, we want to help and give hope to those who carry out the fasting month of Ramadan,” said POP Domino representative.

Not only accompanying players during this quarantine time, POP Domino wants to invite players to participate in “Donasi hati” event that will be held in the game to show their solidarity and care to the society. During the second event period, players can collect “Hearts” as donation items. “Hearts” can be collected by playing the game every day, then the collected “Hearts” will be put into “Heart Pool”. “Hearts” collected in the Pool will be donated in the form of basic needs to those in need.

This event is not only providing donations to those in need, but every player who participates in this event has the opportunity to get a variety of attractive prizes that have been prepared by POP Domino. The prize for the “Donasi Hati” are in-game special decoration items and game coupons. Game coupons can be exchanged for prizes such as in-game items, phone credits and smartphones.

The SGLivehouse virtual busking sessions will take place over three days from 29 May to 31 May 2020, between 8:00pm – 9:30pm (Singapore Time) on 29 May to 30 May, and between 8:00pm – 9:00pm on 31 May, on the Bigo Live app. Eight buskers will be part of the pilot, with a 30-minute segment each to present their original performances to audiences. The initiative will also provide training to buskers on how to go digital and live stream their talents to a global audience. It will also enable the buskers to earn some income during this period as Singapore gradually resumes activities safely.

Jill-Marie Thomas, one of the buskers participating in this pilot initiative, said: “We are excited for this opportunity to share our talents with audiences online while earning some income. As we have had to pause all busking activities and cancel our gigs due to COVID-19, we certainly miss bringing our music to Singaporeans and interacting with passers-by live! Players will either play solo or work together in online teams tackling blaze after blaze to earn tips from clients, picking up the ever-so-crucial 5-star rating in order to earn cash, upgrade tools, and hopefully becoming the ultimate ‘have-a-go hero’ firefighter.

This is no like-for-like simulator, however. Embr is an intentionally satirical, tongue-in-cheek look at the rise of venture capitalism, with its license for allowing players to solve problems creatively resulting in toss-the-resident-out-of-the-window-onto-a-trampoline style solutions that just wouldn’t fly with a real fire fighting force.

Embr offers players a variety of missions to earn money and upgrade their firefighting tools and lease better vehicles and fire trucks, all while dealing with competition from the Canadian firefighting startup Hosr. Staying competitive, however, relies on players working together, planning firefighting and rescuing in dense environments with complex systems interactions; water, fire, gas, electricity, and structure integrity all have a role to play.

Embr also offers cross-platform multiplayer, with Steam players able to play with their Stadia counterparts and vice-versa.

Starting today, players can choose between 10 Heroes, including the new Hero Venslar.
