Samsung’s affordable tablet segment has just received a significant upgrade with the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 series, a lineup designed to deliver a far smoother media and browsing experience than its predecessor. The most critical technical advancement across the series is the adoption of a 90 Hz refresh rate on the display, a feature previously reserved for more premium models.

This move directly addresses a core need for everyday usability: fluid motion. The 90 Hz refresh rate ensures smooth transitions and makes scrolling through social media feeds or web pages noticeably more responsive and fluid than standard 60Hz panels.
Core Performance and Immersive Media
The standard Galaxy Tab A11 features a compact 8.7-inch TFT LCD display with a 1340 x 800 (WXGA+) resolution. This smaller screen size, combined with a light weight of approximately 337g, makes the device highly portable and easy to hold in one hand.
Powering the smooth 90Hz experience is an Octa-Core processor, specifically the MediaTek Helio G99 (6 nm). This chipset ensures strong single-thread responsiveness for snappy app launches. The device is built for sustained use with a 5,100 mAh (Typical) battery capacity, keeping up with hours of video playback or web browsing.
The Galaxy Tab A11+ elevates the experience significantly for productivity users and media consumption. It features a larger 11.0-inch TFT LCD display with a sharper 1920 x 1200 resolution. The Plus model receives a major upgrade in processing power, utilising a more efficient 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. This higher performance is backed by a substantial 7,040 mAh battery and supports faster 25W wired charging. Crucially, the Plus supports Samsung DeX mode, enabling a desktop-like experience for enhanced multitasking.
Storage options across the series are flexible. The standard A11 offers configurations up to 8 GB memory with 128 GB storage, while the A11+offers up to 8 GB memory with a larger 256 GB storage option. Both tablets include a dedicated microSD card slot capable of expanding storage up to a massive 2 TB. For an immersive audio experience, both models feature Dolby-engineered dual speakers.
Camera and Connectivity
The camera system is functional and practical for video communication. Both models feature an 8.0 MP rear camera with autofocus and a 5.0 MP front-facing camera optimised for clearer video calls.

Connectivity options are robust, including dual-band Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) and Bluetooth v5.1 (or v5.3 for the A11). Both tablets are available in Wi-Fi-only and LTE-ready variants. A surprising and meaningful commitment to longevity is that the A11 series is set to receive up to seven years of operating system and security updates.
Pricing & Availability
The Galaxy Tab A11 and Galaxy Tab A11+are available in two classic colour options: Gray and Silver.
