CMF by Nothing has launched its first over-ear wireless headphones, the CMF Headphone Pro, positioning it as a major disruptor in the affordable audio segment. By seamlessly merging innovative, customizable design with premium features like high-fidelity audio codecs and industry-leading battery life, the Headphone Pro is engineered to challenge the value proposition of far more expensive audio gear.

The Energy Slider and Tactile Control
The design philosophy of the Headphone Pro is defined by its playful aesthetics and its unique commitment to tactile, physical controls—a deliberate contrast to the reliance on often-fumbling touch gestures found on many modern headphones.

The most notable feature is the Energy Slider. This physical control allows users to swiftly fine-tune the treble and bass levels in real-time without navigating through a companion app. The practical benefit is instant equalization (EQ) adjustment: whether the user needs more “thump” for a high-energy track or a “balanced” profile for a podcast, the change can be made with a flick of a finger.
This is complemented by other satisfying physical controls, including a multi-function roller dial that manages volume, toggles ANC modes, and controls media playback. Additionally, a customizable action button can be configured via the Nothing X app to serve as an instant shortcut for features like Spatial Audio or quick access to AI assistants.
Premium Audio and Industry-Leading Endurance
The CMF Headphone Pro does not compromise on core audio technicals. It is powered by custom-made 40mm dynamic drivers. These drivers are designed with nickel-plated diaphragms and a precision bass duct, which work together to minimize distortion while delivering defined clarity in the mids and highs, along with a punchy bass response.
A crucial technical detail for audiophiles is the support for the LDAC codec, enabling streaming at up to 990 kbps for certified Hi-Res Audio Wireless quality over Bluetooth 5.4. Furthermore, the headphones utilize Audiodo technology for Personal Sound profiles, which analyze the listener’s hearing sensitivity and ear canal to tailor the audio output dynamically in real-time.

For noise cancellation, the headphones feature Hybrid Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) that reduces up to 40 dB of external noise. This adaptive system uses five microphones, including Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) for clear calls, and automatically adjusts the ANC intensity based on the surrounding environment.
Battery endurance is arguably the Headphone Pro’s most impressive specification. The headphones deliver an astounding 100 hours of music playback on a single charge (with ANC disabled). Even with ANC activated, the endurance remains exceptional at up to 50 hours—a duration that surpasses many high-end competitors. For users on the go, a quick five-minute charge via USB-C provides up to four hours of listening time.
