PUBG Mobile is diving headfirst into the spooky season with its latest Version 4.0 Update, bringing a ton of new tricks, treats, and terror to the battlegrounds. The update, dubbed “Spooky Soiree,” is a massive content drop that introduces a themed mode, new items, and a major collaboration, all designed to give players a frightfully fun experience. The update is available from now until November 4, giving players plenty of time to explore all the new ghoulish features.

The centerpiece of the update is the new Spooky Soiree themed mode, which is available on the Erangel, Livik, and Rondo maps. Players will get a personal ghost companion named Ghostie that follows them throughout the match, complete with upgradable skills. Eliminated players can even continue influencing the match by transforming into a Prankster Ghost, with unique abilities like Bomb to knock back enemies or Scan to reveal a target’s location. For those who prefer to take to the skies, the new Magic Broom is a two-person vehicle that can fly freely and even unleash a sweep attack to knock back enemies. Adding to the eerie atmosphere is the new Wraithmoor Mansion on Erangel and Livik, a sprawling estate filled with ghostly presences, magical mirrors, and haunted, floating furniture.
Beyond the themed mode, Version 4.0 delivers a wealth of new content across the entire game. Classic Mode gets a wave of exciting updates, including a new Mortar weapon for long-range strikes and a more realistic reloading mechanic that adds tactical depth. Weapon handling has also been improved with smoother recoil transitions and new foregrip and stock adjustments, giving players more balanced and strategic choices for their attachments. For creators, the update introduces
World of Wonder 1.0, which gives them access to a significant boost in creator tools and a total prize pool of $10 million. The new WOW Pass system also makes its debut, allowing players to earn rewards by completing missions.
The update also brings exciting new collaborations and game modes. The Kaiju No. 8 collaboration adds Kaiju-sized action to PUBG Mobile, allowing players to unlock character sets for Kafka Hibino and other characters. There’s even a transformation mechanic that lets players become the legendary Kaiju No. 8, along with new themed weapons and vehicles. For those looking for a different competitive experience, a new asymmetrical mode called UNFAIL is launching at the end of September. In this mode, one powerful Predator takes on four Survivors, each with different objectives.
Version 4.0 also marks the start of Cycle 9 Season 26, bringing a Firearm Combat Power system for players to compete on global and regional leaderboards. With so many updates, new game modes, and collaborations, PUBG Mobile’s Version 4.0 is one of the most comprehensive updates yet, giving players plenty of reasons to drop back into the battlegrounds.
