LG is expanding its XBOOM Buds lineup with two new models, the Buds Plus and Buds Lite, building on the success of the original series. The expansion is designed to offer a diverse range of features and pricing options, catering to both discerning audiophiles and casual, everyday listeners. The entire XBOOM Buds series has been expertly tuned by world-renowned musician will.i.am, ensuring a foundation of high-resolution sound quality and rich bass across all models.
At the core of the new lineup are several shared features that guarantee LG XBOOM’s signature audio experience. Both the Buds Plus and Buds Lite are equipped with lightweight graphene drivers, which are engineered to deliver clear, detailed audio with minimal distortion. They also feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) to provide a more focused listening experience by reducing background noise. For connectivity, the earbuds use Bluetooth 5.4 for a smooth, low-latency stream and support Multi-Point & Multi-Pairing, as well as Google Fast Pair and Swift Pairing, making it effortless to switch between devices. All models are designed for ergonomic comfort with a secure in-ear fit and multiple ear tip sizes.
The XBOOM Buds Plus is the premium offering in the new lineup, designed for those who seek an elevated listening experience. A key feature is Adaptive EQ, which continuously monitors the earbud fit and automatically adjusts the sound profile in real time to ensure optimal audio quality. The Buds Plus also features a triple microphone system for enhanced ANC performance and call clarity, making them suitable for noisy environments. In a welcome return, the charging case features LG’s UVnano technology, which eliminates 99.9% of bacteria from the earbud’s speaker mesh while charging. For added convenience, the Buds Plus case supports wireless charging and has a Plug & Wireless feature that turns it into a Bluetooth transmitter for non-Bluetooth devices. Auracast support also allows users to synchronize audio across multiple devices.
For those who value simplicity and long battery life, the XBOOM Buds Lite is the ideal choice. While still powered by the same graphene drivers, the Buds Lite is built for endurance, offering up to 11.5 hours of playback on a single charge and up to 35 hours with the charging case. It features Mild ANC, paired with four customizable EQ modes that allow users to fine-tune their sound profile to match their preferences.

The new Buds Plus and Buds Lite models will begin rolling out in major markets worldwide from September. At this time, specific pricing, colourways, and promotions have not yet been announced.
