Acer is doubling down on its tablet series. The Iconia lineup is expanding with new tablets that are looking to address more than just one segment of the market. The two series – Iconia X and Iconia A series – see new entries with new features. These new tablets are designed to cater to modern digital living, blending AI-powered features with vivid displays and versatile designs.

First up is the Acer Iconia X Series, built for a premium experience that balances productivity and entertainment. The Iconia X12 is a standout with its sleek, lightweight profile, weighing just 500 g. It features a 12.6-inch WQXGA (2560×1600) AMOLED display that delivers striking visuals with a smooth 60 Hz refresh rate. Powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, it offers up to 16 hours of battery life. It also supports optional accessories like a stylus, a detachable keyboard, and a magnetic kickstand for hands-free use.

The Iconia X14 takes a different approach, focusing on AI-enabled features. This tablet comes with a dedicated AI processor, the Allwinner A733, with a built-in NPU. This enables new features like “AI Smart Sensing” for gesture-based control and posture tips, “AI Super Resolution” for upscaling video quality, and a “Smile Camera” that automatically captures photos when a smile or an “OK” gesture is detected. The X14 sports a 14-inch FHD (1200×1920) OLED display and offers up to 10 hours of battery life. It’s a great choice for users who want to leverage on-device AI for more intuitive interactions.

Moving on, the new Iconia A Series, which includes the Iconia A16 and Iconia A14, offers a great balance of performance and long battery life for media consumption and work. These tablets also come equipped with the same processor as the Iconia X12, enabling the same AI capabilities as the X14, including AI Smart Sensing, AI Super Resolution, and Smile Camera. A key feature of these models is the integrated tripod-style kickstand, which eliminates the need for an external accessory and makes it easy to prop up the tablets for hands-free use. Both the 16-inch (A16) and 14-inch (A14) models have FHD (1200×1920) IPS displays with a ZeroFrame design.
They both offer up to 10 hours of battery life and support dual-band Wi-Fi 6. Both the Iconia X and Iconia A series also feature Acer Screen Casting, which allows them to function as a versatile wireless display for laptops via Wi-Fi. The tablets run on Android 15. Acer has not indicated an upgrade path or guarantee for the tablets at the time of writing.
