Nothing, the London-based technology company, has officially entered the competitive over-ear audio market with the launch of its first-ever Nothing Headphone (1). Following its global debut on July 1, the headphones were launched in Malaysia on July 11, 2025. True to Nothing’s identity, the Headphone (1) features the brand’s iconic transparent elements, offering a glimpse into the meticulous engineering within. The headphones are built for both visual impact and long-wearing comfort, using premium materials like formed aluminum for the frame, precision CNC components, and soft PU memory foam for the ear cushions. At the heart of the headphones is a custom-built 40 mm dynamic driver, which has been expertly tuned by KEF to deliver rich, natural audio with deep bass, detailed mids, and crisp treble.
For a more immersive experience, the Headphone (1) includes on-device Spatial Audio with built-in head tracking. This technology creates a 360-degree soundstage from any stereo source that adapts in real-time to the listener’s head movements, making the audio feel more realistic and engaging. The headphones also support Hi-Res Audio through multiple connection types, including wirelessly via the LDAC codec, through a lossless USB-C connection, or with a traditional 3.5mm jack, catering to all types of listeners.

The Nothing Headphone (1) is equipped with a sophisticated noise cancellation system to allow you to control your listening environment. It uses dual feedforward and feedback microphones for its real-time Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which dynamically adapts to your surroundings to block out unwanted noise. When you need to be aware of your environment, Transparency Mode lets you hear what’s going on around you without taking off the headphones. Call clarity is handled by a 4-mic ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) system, which is powered by an AI trained on millions of noise scenarios to ensure your voice is captured clearly, even in busy settings.

The Headphone (1) delivers up to 35 hours of listening time with ANC on, and a quick 5-minute charge provides an impressive 2.4 hours of playback. It uses Bluetooth 5.3 and supports dual device connection for seamless switching. The smart experience is centred around the customizable Button, which can be configured in the Nothing X app to activate Channel Hop, a unique software feature that quickly cycles between recent audio apps and favourite functions.

This drop event will give attendees the chance to purchase the Headphone (1) early, with complimentary gifts available on a first-come, first-served basis.
For everyone else, the official pre-order period begins today, July 12, 2025, at nothing.tech and select partners, and will include a free Nothing headphone protective cover. Open sales will start on August 1, 2025.
