Acer’s Predator League Finals Postponed due to Coronavirus 2019-nCoV

Acer’s Predator League is one of the biggest e-sports events in the region. The company’s annual e-sports event brings together some of the best Defense of the Ancients (DoTA) and Player Unknown Battlegrounds (PUBG) players in the region. These competitors vie for a slice of the of the USD$40,000 prize pool. This year, the competition’s finals were scheduled to take place in the Philippines from February 19 to 23.

However, in light of recent developments, Acer has opted to delay the grand finals. The company announced late yesterday that the finals will tentatively be rescheduled to June or July given the current situation with the 2019-nCoV Coronavirus.

The company’s grand event is set to draw a huge crowd with about 20,000 tickets sold to date for the tournament. Acer informs us that processes are being put in place for those who have purchased their tickets. They will be updating everyone on how they will proceed with the ticketing moving forward.
