The Xiaomi Mi 9 has been one of the biggest bargain of the year in terms of high-end smartphones. Of course there are other Xiaomi Mi 9 smartphones in the series. For the Malaysian market, you have the Mi 9 and the Mi 9 SE.
Of course if you wan to get the absolute flagship with ultimate power, go for the Xiaomi Mi 9 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 System on a Chip (SoC). The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE is likened to the mid-range Mi 9 in the series. It packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712, which is no slouch. It s still a powerful SoC. What about the Xiaomi Mi 9T then? Where does it fit?
Just based on the specs, the Xiaomi Mi 9T is more of an evolution of the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE. The Mi 9T packs a brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC that is supposedly 40% more powerful than the older Qualcomm Snapdragon 712. The new architecture is clocked in at 2.2GHz at its maximum clock. The potent SoC is paired to a 6GB RAM, which is plenty these days.
The SoC powers the Android 9.0 Pie that is overlaid with Xiaomi’s trusty MIUI. You experience the MIUI from a 6.39-inch AMOLED display at Full HD+ resolution. Of course a modern smartphone needs facial recognition and fingerprint credentials for security. The display contains a fingerprint sensor hidden underneath the glass. The facial recognition camera is hidden too to make sure that you are getting the FullView 6,39-inch display not interrupted by any form of notches. When you need it, the 20-Megapixel front-facing pops up on from the top left section of the Xiaomi Mi 9T.
Speaking of cameras, the Xiaomi Mi 9T still retains the triple camera set-up of the Xiaomi Mi 9 family. The main camera shoots at 48-Megapixel and is supported by a 13-Megapixel ultra wide-angle lens and an 8-Megapixel telephoto lens. The main camera is capable of taking 4K videos and even 960fps super slow motions videos when your creative juice starts flowing.
To keep everything powered and working through the day the Xiaomi Mi 9T has a 4,000mAh battery that should keep it going through out the day. When you run out of battery, you do not need to be stuck to a charging socket for too long too with one of the fastest charging technology in the market via USB Type-C. It still retains a 3.5mm jack too, something of a novelty in modern smartphones.
