XiaoMi is at it again. This time the Chinese manufacturer is looking to expand its reach to India. The manufacturer initially announced their expansion to India in June on all their Facebook pages including their Malaysian. However, no device was initially made available.
This changed late last night when XiaoMi announced that their flagship XiaoMi Mi3 will be the first phone made available in India retailing for Rs. 14, 999 (RM 796). Sales are set to begin on July 15th. There is no word yet on how many units will be made available for the launch but with XiaoMi’s recent sales history we can expect a limited quantity of the device to made available online direct from XiaoMi.
The XiaoMi Mi3 brings amazing specifications to a price point not many manufacturers are willing to hit. The XiaoMi Mi3 comes with a 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Quad Core Processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. It also comes with a 13 MegaPixel camera and a 2 MegaPixel front facing camera. It runs on XiaoMi’s proprietary MIUI 5 skin over Android 4.3 JellyBean and comes with a 5-inch 1080p FullHD LCD display with all the connectivity options you could want – Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, 2G and 3G connectivity.
