Xiaomi is flying high in the skies as they were noticed by Samsung. The company’s manufacturer has the third largest shipping figure in the third quarter of 2014. And with Xiaomi App Store in the market; Mi App Store, the company is going world-wide with its app store. And this is all proof for the success of Xiaomi devices.
Mi App Store is the default app store for Xiaomi’s devices, specially on MIUI operation system (a twist of Android OS that was put out by Xiaomi). The current downloads on Mi App Store per day is average 50 million downloads. For a third-party Android app store, it is amazingly attractive by many. And back in May, Xiaomi launched its Mi Pad tablet. The Mi Pad now holds over 3000 applications and games that was designed for it.
Xiaomi has reported a total of RNB364 million (around MYR203 million) was paid out to developers. Soon, Xiaomi will open a world-wide app store which allows developers from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore to develop and publish their apps and games to the public users. And the store might be open to more developers around the world in different countries as Xiaomi plans to expand their market in India.
Unfortunately, Google Play Store is not accessible in China. But rumour has it that Google might come back to China. Right now, users around the world are using different kind of app store, including the Mi App Store. Let us know what do you think about the Mi App Store.
