Chinese tech company, Xiaomi has hit another milestone as it has officially sold 1 million units of its smartphone in India. This is via a Twitter announcement by Manu Kumar Jain, who is the head of the company in India.
This is quite an achievement as Xiaomi just kicked off its smartphone sales about half a year ago. It currently has the Xiaomi Mi 3, the Xiaomi Redmi 1S, and the Xiaomi Redmi Note being sold in the country.
The tech manufacturer managed to hit the mark even with a sales ban enacted on its devices earlier in the month. The ban came as Ericsson alleged that Xiaomi violated some of its patents. The courts however, have allowed gadgets running on Qualcomm chipsets, in this case the Redmi 1s to continue to be sold until the 6th of January. The Redmi Note 4G is set to launch in India in the next couple of days!
