For past two weeks, WhatsApp has been missing for the Windows Phone Store. The app had to be pulled from the store as many of the users were having difficulties and problems when they used it. On May 30th 2014, Joe Belfiore, the corporate vice president and manager for Windows Phone Program Management at Microsoft reassured the public via Twitter that WhatsApp would make a comeback once the bugs were worked out.
And that’s exactly what has happened! WhatsApp has been republished into the store and in a new, upgraded version. This latest version, version 2.11.490 has packed with it a couple of new features including chat backgrounds, privacy settings, custom notification tones and broadcast lists.
