In November 2018 we saw something very special from Lenovo; a new breed of Yoga laptop line. Yes, we saw some 2-in-1s. We even saw some dual display magic in their YogaBook C930. Then they have that rotating sound bar with the Yoga C930. But something else caught our eye; something new in the Yoga series; not a 2-in-1. It is a regular ultraslim laptop in the form of the Yoga S730.
We got the very special privilege to be the first in the country to own the brand new Lenovo Yoga S730. In fact we just got it late last month, about a week ago to be exact. So what did we do with it? We unbox it of course.
What we got was the Lenovo Yoga S730-13IWL with Intel’s 8th Generation Core i5-8265U CPU clocked in at 1.60GHz. That CPU is supported by an Intel UHD 620 Graphics which actually supports 4K displays. With two Thunderbolt enabled USB Type-C ports you can do pull up to two 4K external displays. The GPU is even good enough to work with Adobe’s Photoshop and Lightroom if need be. It even packs 8GB of RAM.
You can opt for an Intel Core i7 CPU plus a 16GB RAM in the device. The storage option is up to 512GB of SSD which is what we got here. Its 4 cell battery in theory would last to about 11 hours according to Lenovo.
The Lenovo Yoga S730 is now available via Lenovo’s authorised dealers and official stores nationwide. You can even get them from Lenovo’s official Lazada store. There are no colour options currently with the Lenovo Yoga S730 (Gunmetal Grey). If you are thinking of getting one, the Lenovo Yoga S730 will set you back starting from MYR3,859.
