Samsung has been hard at work developing its own in house operating system for mobile devices, Tizen OS. The first flagship Tizen device, the Samsung Z, was announced a few months back by the tech behemoth. However, there was no follow up with the release information. Nonetheless, the rumour mill has been churning with inklings of a delay in the launch of the operating system. This comes as the launch window for the device in Russia came and went. Samsung’s decision comes after a developer’s conference in Russia was cancelled after developers learned that there would not be any production devices at the conference. This after the initial launch of the Tizen powered devices was axed after Japanese carriers pulled support of the operating system.

There is no word yet on whether the device will be released with rumours surfacing of the device being shelved in favour of lower end devices.
