Tim Cook, CEO of Apple was full of pride and joy when he sat with the Wall Street Journal after the launch of the Apple iPhone 6. Calling the Apple event on the 9th of September one of the most important days in Apple history, Tim Cook explained why he thinks the iPhone 6 will attract Android users to Apple’s side.
Cook first called the line up of the gadgets launched including the iPhone 6, the Apple Watch and iPay a “statement of Apple”. Cook explained that it released a bigger screened headset this time around as an answer to the big phone trend started by Samsung. According to the CEO, because Apple has entered the arena of big phones, Android users will naturally switch to iOS. The CEO believes that the iPhone 6 models are “the mother of all upgrades” and “appreciably better in every single way.”
We admit that the hype prior to the iPhone 6 was crazy with leaks and rumors flying about at a rapid (and a little annoying) pace. But will the bigger screens really be enough to convince users to abandon Android for iOS? The iPhone 6 variants go on sale on September 19th and the headsets have been for the past week at least, the butt of many jokes especially Samsung. I guess we’ll only know four days from now if users were really just waiting for a big enough iPhone to jump sides.
