Smartphone themes are common often used by users for personalization purposes, that is why Samsung came up with the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 which were the first of its mid-ranged Android smartphone to support themes. Samsung wants to prioritize themes feature on all of their future devices, starting with the Galaxy S6 which will be among the first to enhance themes customization.
The role of the themes are similar to the Galaxy A series devices and it comes with a few other options such as changing the system sounds, fonts, and a personalization mode called ‘Events’. This ‘Events’ feature allows users to change their themes for special events, but unfortunately it is unclear on how the ‘Events’ feature works like. This is a little different from the usual themes we manually set on our smartphones, this feature itself changes automatically when the user sets when to change it.
There’s also a new theme store app within the forthcoming smartphones, and we are also not sure if any third-party themes works with this theme store or even if users can choose from the pre-installed themes. Samsung released the fundamental means for developers to work with the new features on its smartphones, and maybe one day users can download other themes off the store.
Let us know what do you think about the new Samsung’s theme support on its forthcoming smartphones. Is it an important feature or is it an option but not an urgent feature. But keep in mind that there are quite a lot of users out there that loves to personalize their devices and there are also users who just prefer the original UI feature. Voice out your opinion.
