The ongoing 127th Canton Fair helps 1000+ companies from less-developed regions to access global markets

On this global platform of the Canton Fair, companies can fully present their products to both domestic and foreign buyers without exhibiting on site, saving time, cost and resources.

“Since 2017, Canton Fair has helped more than 3,000 companies from less-developed areas with more than 5,000 exhibition booths,” said Quandong Liu, Deputy Director General of Foreign Affairs Office of Canton Fair. “And now we are helping them move online to explore the international market.”

Canton Fair introduces targeted measures for poverty alleviation

Shifting to online platforms, the Canton Fair is facilitating target measures, setting up barrier-free access for companies from less-developed areas, such as waiving of entrance and any other service fee and providing training on online marketing skills.

Tian Yongqiang, general manager of Baoyisheng pharmaceutical company in Longde town in China’s Ningxia province, said that his company is located in the northwest of the country. They are not able to attend many trade fairs due to the limited transportation access, and the online Canton Fair has provided opportunities for them to tackle such challenges as well as to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We have met many new buyers in our live stream rooms in the past two days. We will take this advantage to sell our quality products to the international market.”

Market potential for less-developed areas discovered at the Canton Fair

Raw agricultural products are highlighted at this year’s Canton Fair introduced by companies from less-developed areas, as they have geographic advantages of agriculture such as high altitude, sufficient sunlight, pollution-free environment as well as huge temperature difference between day and night.

Chen Yu, general manager from Yasheng International trade company from China’s Gansu province, believes that with more people looking for a healthy lifestyle, raw agricultural products have huge market potential in the international markets.

“We have brought fennel, dried white melon seeds and cumin as well as pepper and Chinese red dates to the Fair. Many international buyers have shown interest to our products when they visit our live stream showroom.”

Green tea from a Yi autonomous county in Mabian, Sichuan province, is another popular product at the Fair. Feng Min, deputy general manager of Jinyuchun Tea company, noted that their tea was popular with buyers in Japan and Europe. The company has brought premium yellow tea that features more green tea polyphenols and amino acids to its platform to explore new orders.

“In our live stream showroom, we can start a direct conversation with each other, as buyers can virtually see the details of dried tea leaves as well as the process of steeping tea.”

Value Xd Changes the Face of Impact Investing With the Launch of Value Xd Impact Platform

Firm has created the first analytical ecosystem for sustainable impact investment

EXETER, England, June 15, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Value Xd, the cutting edge and unique cloud-based analytics platform with analytical technology that reinterprets and covers the entire value chain, has today announced the launch of Value Xd Impact – the world’s first analytical ecosystem for sustainable impact investing at the Responsible Investor Digital Festival.

Armen Papazian, Founder and Chief Executive, Value Xd
Armen Papazian, Founder and Chief Executive, Value Xd

Dr Armen Papazian, Founder and Chief Executive, Value Xd: “Since the Paris Climate Agreement in 2016 and the conception of the UN Sustainable Development Goals investors have been tasked with aligning their investments with these new targets and objectives. As such, they need flexible and efficient platforms to achieve this, which is why we developed a private analytical ecosystem dedicated to impact investing. The time is now to try and stem the effects of climate change for future generations, and Value Xd Impact can play an integral role.”

This groundbreaking platform provides investors with unique modules that create the ability to design their impact responsibly. Value Xd Impact reinterprets the analytical value chain, allowing investors to transfer their ESG and sustainability values to analytical tools in order to maximise their impact and help them deliver on their responsibilities. By doing so, it creates greater efficiency, transparency and effectiveness for investors.

Data is the raw material in all analytical projects; equations and algorithms are the analytical actions that are applied to data, with the outputs then used to make decisions in business and finance. However, in the most commonly used analytics software, equations sit behind the raw material, creating a fundamental architectural issue. Value Xd’s platforms are game changers because the equations sit above and in front of the raw material, as universal abstract tools that can be applied and shared globally at any time. Furthermore, equations on the Value Xd platform are always written in mathematical language, and not coder invented abbreviations. Value Xd Impact breaks the boundaries of responsible, sustainable impact investing and takes it to the next level.

Alex Grigoryan, Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Value Xd: “The technology we have developed is unique and unparalleled. Through innovative coding work, we transformed many of the elements of analytical modelling and presentation, introducing flow and efficiency where there was only tediousness, providing a unique user experience that makes analytics more effective.”

Value Xd Impact also provides the user a diverse set of pre-designed and pre-assembled tools. These are offered through the Add-On library which is a living library of downloadable and applicable models serving a specific analytical purpose. These Add-Ons cover a wide variety of topics and fields, relevant to investors and their investee companies, including conventional and commonly used tools along with other new and more holistic ones, such as space value optimisation and other emissions calculators and projectors.

Papazian concludes: “The Covid-19 pandemic has triggered an intense stage in the already ongoing process of digital transformation. What makes this phase very special is that this digital deepening is accompanied by a change of mantra, forcing a radical change in philosophy and approach. From a world that was often driven to compete, we now find ourselves in a world keen to collaborate.

“Indeed, this change of attitude was a critical requirement for our global response to climate change. In this new chapter, technology has become a central conduit of trust, and a cornerstone for value creation, sharing and exchange. Value Xd Impact is designed as an analytical ecosystem for sustainable impact investing, a universe that facilitates and enhances the creation and sharing of analytical intelligence on a global scale.”

The first virtual Canton Fair will create an online international trade platform of quality and specialty products that covers 16 major export categories, such as manufacturing and processing machinery, industrial equipment, health and machine, and consumer goods, and etc.

In order to explore new possibilities for efficient international trade, the Canton Fair will set up a cross-border e-commerce zone. And Made-in-China.com, as the leading comprehensive third-party B2B e-commerce platform in China, has been successfully selected as one of the official partners to have a seat in this cross-border e-commerce zone. Made-in-China.com will hold online simultaneous events from June 15th, 2020, which will create digital, immersive and convenient sourcing experience for global buyers.

With a focus on global trade and e-commerce, Made-in-China.com has been dedicated to developing technologies about SMART EXPO since 2016. Combining the advanced technologies like VR, 360 virtual tour and graphic interchange format, with abundant experiences of holding expos, Made-in-China.com created the original mode of “internet + expo” in China’s exhibition field while keeping improving and taking it to a higher level.

SMART EXPO simulates the experience which buyers could obtain during the traditional expos. 3D exhibition hall and virtual booth create a real participation experience for buyers. The online meeting room let buyers have the chance to negotiate with suppliers and send instant inquiries online. You can also set the meeting as private to protect your privacy and avoid interruption.

Moreover, SMART EXPO offers a series of customized services which buyers can only experience online. For example, the multilingual instant translation service will eliminate their worry about communication in different languages. They can also exchange their business cards whenever they want for further negotiation.

There are also services to help buyers to verify the qualification of suppliers. 360 virtual tour and video display of products can give buyers a direct understanding of suppliers’ enterprise, scale and quality. Meanwhile, buyers can check the ‘Audit Reports’ to get authentic information about suppliers and their products.

In this unprecedented time, Made-in-China.com will vow to hold as many SMART EXPOs as possible. “We will mobilize all our manpower and technical resources, improve our supporting services, help global buyers to do cross-border business conveniently and contribute to facilitating global economic growth,” said by Li Lei, the general manager of Made-in-China.com.
