This smartphone is no slouch when it comes to performance. It’s powered by the Dimensity 6020 SoC, ensuring smooth and responsive operation. The Oppo A79 boasts a 6.72″ 90Hz FullHD+ LCD display with Panda Glass protection. It’s not just big; it’s bright, with 680 nits peak brightness. With a pixel density of 391 ppi, this screen offers remarkable clarity. Oppo proudly markets it as a “Sunlight Display,” promising that you can enjoy every detail even in the brightest sunshine. You can choose from two striking colours: Mystery Black and Glowing Green. The Glowing Green variant boasts what Oppo calls a “Glowing Feather Design,” adding a touch of elegance to your device.

While the exact availability in other regions, including Malaysia, is yet to be confirmed, it has been listed on the SIRIM database, suggesting it may arrive in Malaysia very soon.

Samsung Galaxy A05 & Galaxy A05s Make Malaysian Debut

Samsung Electronics has introduced the Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s smartphones. New entries into the company’s lower-end offerings which are built to last with a long-lasting 5,000mAh battery, and enhanced 25W Super-Fast charging capabilities. In addition, Samsung is also committing to two generations of OS upgrades and four years of security updates for these devices.

Both the Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s have an enhanced 6.7-inch display. However, the Galaxy A05s has a higher FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels) and a faster 90Hz refresh rate for smoother transitions. The Galaxy A05 has a lower HD+ resolution (720 x 1520 pixels) and a standard 60Hz refresh rate.

When it comes to cameras, both smartphones have an upgraded 50MP high-resolution main camera, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. The Galaxy A05s also has an upgraded 13MP front-facing selfie camera, while the Galaxy A05 has an 8MP front-facing selfie camera.

Both the Galaxy A05 and the Galaxy A05s come with a long-lasting 5,000mAh battery and enhanced 25W Super-Fast charging capabilities. This means that you can quickly charge your phone and get back to using it in no time.

However, they come with two different processors. The Galaxy A05s comes with a Snapdragon 680 processor while the Galaxy A05 comes with a MediaTek Helio G85. Both are capable of 4G LTE connectivity.

OPPO Unveils the Entry Level OPPO A18

It seems like when it rains, it’s a never N-ding torrent from OPPO. Following the deluge of releases including the Find N3, Find N3 Flip and OPPO Pad 2, the company has taken the veils off its latest A-series smartphone, the OPPO A18. The entry-level device packs a punch with its large 5,000mAh battery and powerful MediaTek Helio G85 processor, ensuring a seamless and long-lasting performance. This device also introduces a 90Hz Sunlight Display and an Ultra Volume Mode.

The OPPO A18 stays true to OPPO’s iconic design aesthetic. It’s available in two colours, Glowing Blue and Glowing Black, both employing OPPO’s exclusive OPPO Glow design technique. This unique approach gives the phone’s back cover a shimmering appearance, making it resistant to fingerprints and providing a dual matte finish with a touch of glittery elegance.

This smartphone inherits the well-loved Ultra-Slim Retro Design of previous A-series models. Two tablets that come in below the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series take a focused approach to providing an immersive entertainment experience. Available in two sizes, this series combines immersive video and audio with ultra-fast connectivity, catering to both entertainment and productivity needs in a sleek and portable package.

The Galaxy Tab A9 and A9+ are equipped with the largest screens ever seen in any Galaxy A series tablet, boasting 8.7 and 11-inch displays, respectively. The Galaxy Tab A9+ also comes with a higher refresh rate of 90Hz. It also comes with quad speakers powered by Dolby Atmos for immersive sound. Ultra-fast 5G connectivity ensures uninterrupted streaming on the go. The Galaxy Tab A9, however, only features Dual speakers and LTE connectivity. The Galaxy Tab A9+ comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G while the A9 comes with a MediaTek Helio G99 processor. Both of the tables come with up to 128GB of internal storage and up to 8GB of RAM. Like other Samsung tablets, the Galaxy Tab A9+ and Tab A9 come with Samsung DeX for a more productivity-focused interface. They also come with Multi-active window which supports up to three apps running simultaneously.

For the first time, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab A series will be able to connect seamlessly across Galaxy devices. This includes smartphones, tablets, TV and monitors. Like other Samsung devices, the tablets in the A series feature Samsung Knox for added data security. The Security & Privacy Dashboard gives users insight and control over their data.

Samsung Kids provides a secure digital environment on the Tab A series according to Samsung. The Galaxy Tab A9 series will be available in Malaysia from October 23, 2023, in Graphite, Silver and Navy. It will be priced at MYR899 for the Galaxy A9 (LTE), MYR1099 for the Galaxy Tab A9+ (WiFi) and MYR1649 for the Tab A9+ with 5G. Only the versions with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage will be available in Malaysia.

OPPO is no stranger to foldables with its Find N2 flip having already made waves last year. The N3 Flip is geared to do the same with its flagship-class triple-sensor camera. In fact, it’s the first flip form factor to have one. And that’s not all it has…

Hey there! Jeevan here for techENT. This is the OPPO N3 Flip.

The Oppo Find N3 Flip is one of the prettiest flip phones available on the market right now. It’s coming in cream gold, mist pink, and astral black.

This new device may look very similar to the Find N2, but it’s got subtle updates that make it sleeker and nicer to hold in hand. The edges of the smartphone are more rounded for ergonomics and it’s got an alert slider.

On the front, it has a 3.26-inch AMOLED cover display complete with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The cover display is also one of the most robust with OPPO’s own mini-app system which is even more extensive this year thanks to more third-party support. These apps are also not cards but fully interactive apps with all the bells and whistles you would expect.

The new triple-sensor camera is housed in a round protrusion complete with the Hasselblad brand emblazoned on it. It comes with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX590 sensor paired with a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 sensor and a 48-megapixel Sony IMX581 sensor. This is, of course, complemented by software which is co-developed by OPPO and Hasselblad.

The Find N3 Flip comes with the Mediatek Dimensity 9200. MediaTek’s latest 4nm processor promises great performance. It’s also got 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.

The main display of the Find N3 Flip is a 6/8-inch AMOLED panel with an FHD+ resolution. It’s built to be more power efficient with a polarizer-free design which lowers power consumption by 20%. The crease is also less prominent on the N3 Flip. In the middle of the screen is the 32-megapixel selfie camera.

To top things off, the Find N3 Flip is IPX4-rated meaning that it’s resistant to water spills. It also comes with an updated Flexion Hinge This has zero gap and also allows the crease to be less prominent. The new hinge is designed to bear 25% more weight than the N2.

All of this is powered by a 4,300mAh battery that supports SuperVOOC charging at 44W. OPPO claims it will give you a 50% charge in just 23 minutes.

Hot off the announcement of the Find N3 and the Find N3 Flip, the company is now announcing another device that seems to be swerving left when the market is swerving right – the OPPO Pad 2. The new tablet touts an industry-first – a 7:5 aspect ratio display.

The OPPO Pad 2 marks a paradigm shift in tablet displays by adopting a remarkable 7:5 aspect ratio, mirroring the proportions of everyday tools like PCs, A4 paper, and books. This aspect ratio provides a comfortable and familiar reading experience for users. In comparison to conventional 16:10 Android tablets, the OPPO Pad 2 offers almost 10% more viewing area while maintaining a consistent aspect ratio across different modes.

OPPO’s Find N3 Flip Makes International Debut

The OPPO Find N3 is just one of two devices that make up the Find N3 series. The other is the Find N3 Flip – yes, we’re talking about the one that debuted a few weeks ago in China. So why are we talking about it now? Well, it’s just cause we have new information for the international version of the phone. OPPO announced both devices for the international market.

The international OPPO Find N3 Flip will be coming in a bevvy of colours: Sleek black, Cream Gold and Misty Pink. The Cream Gold colour is the hero of the trio with intricate details in the finishing of the smartphone. But you’re not looking at this smartphone just cause of the colours.

The Find N3 Flip is definitely more than just looks. It comes packed with the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 processor, one of the fastest and most power-packed processors on the market. It’s also got 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The package should be enough to get you through some gaming, work and even editing those portrait pictures you’ll undoubtedly be taking with the triple camera setup of the Flip.

The hallmark feature of the N3 Flip isn’t the internals though. It’s the form factor and large cover screen. The N3 Flip comes with 3.26-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 382×720 pixels and a peak brightness of 900 nits. The cover display maintains its rectangular shape which looks like a shrunken-down version of the normal phone display. There are two reasons behind this choice according to OPPO. The first is to maintain and expand the functionality of mini-apps for the cover screen. OPPO has spent time collaborating with app developers to create mini-app versions of popular apps. This year, apps like Google Maps, Gmail, TikTok, Telegram and more now have fully functional mini-apps. The second is simply to make room for the first-ever triple-sensor camera setup on a clamshell form factor.

Speaking of the camera, the OPPO Find N3 Flip comes with a triple sensor camera which has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS and an f/1.8 aperture, a 48-megapixel Sony IMX581 with an ultra-wide 115° field of view and auto-focus, and a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 with an f/2.2 aperture and 2x optical zoom. On the selfie front, it comes with a 32-megapixel sensor with autofocus and an f/2.4 aperture. The camera setup is co-developed with Hasselblad and features some distinct modes which are classic Hasselblad. Software-wise, OPPO is bringing its “A” game with its signature camera software enhanced with AI features. The combination allows users to get creamy, natural bokeh while taking deeply detailed shots even in low light.

The Find N3 Flip also comes with an improved hinge. The new hinge has a weight-bearing capacity that is 25% higher than the N2 Flip. It also features zero hinge gaps and an optimised design for better ergonomics. It’s even got an IPX4 rating. The edges are curved so that it feels natural in hand. The phone’s Flexform mode allows the hinge to be kept in place in FlexForm mode which keeps the display erect between 45 to 120 degrees.

Pricing & Availability

The OPPO Find N3 Flip will be available in Malaysia for MYR4,399. Globally the Flip will be retailing for SGD$1,499 which is equivalent to USD$1,091.95 or EUR€1,032.06.

In Malaysia, pre-orders are happening from 19 October 2023 until 27 October 2023. During this period, purchases of the OPPO Find N3 Flip will entitle you to an MYR200 pre-order rebate, free screen protection warranty worth MYR699, a purchase with purchase (PWP) discount of MYR250 on the extended warranty worth MYR499 and a PWP discount of MYR100 on the portable PU case worth MYR149.

Samsung has discreetly revealed its budget-friendly tablets, the Galaxy Tab A9 and A9+, primarily in the Indian market. These newcomers join the Galaxy A series, emerging as competitive contenders in the budget tablet arena and are hot on the heel of the announcement of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series. Despite the hushed release, they promise impressive specifications and features.

Galaxy Tab A9: Compact and Capable

The Galaxy Tab A9 is compact, sporting an 8.7-inch LCD with 800 x 1340 pixels resolution. Powering this tab is MediaTek’s Helio G99 SoC which should deliver commendable performance with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

In the camera department, the Tab A9 features an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel selfie shooter. This tablet is designed for extended use, thanks to a robust 5100mAh battery. Furthermore, it comes in two variants: Wi-Fi and 5G.

Samsung doesn’t skimp on audio quality; the Tab A9 is equipped with AKG-powered dual speakers. You can choose from three appealing colour options: Grey, Dark Blue, and Silver.

Galaxy Tab A9+: Bigger and Better

The Galaxy Tab A9+ follows in the footsteps of its sibling, maintaining the same design aesthetics and colour choices. However, it steps up the game with an 11-inch LCD boasting a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. It houses a Snapdragon 695 SoC for enhanced performance and is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Photography enthusiasts can enjoy an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. This tablet also incorporates a quad-speaker system to amplify your audio experience.

Pricing & Availability:

In India, the Galaxy Tab A9 is competitively priced at INR12,999 (MYR738.70) for the 4GB RAM variant (Wi-Fi only). The 5G variant, offering extended connectivity options, is available at INR15,999 (MYR908.40).

For the Galaxy Tab A9 Plus, the Wi-Fi model, featuring 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, retails at INR20,999 (MYR1,192.29). The pricing of the 5G variant is yet to be disclosed.

No word yet on if the tablet will be making its way to Malaysia.

Infinix took centre stage at the Venice Film Festival with a new smartphone focused on content creation and storytelling. Infinix collaborated with the Italian Pavilion to explore the synergy between smartphone technology and modern storytelling centred around Infinix’s new smartphone the Infinix ZERO.

Infinix’s ZERO 30 Series focuses on the selfie camera looking to empower self-expression to a whole new level with a 50-megapixel sensor. This sensor is capable of recording 4K video. This is bolstered by the 108-megapixel main camera on the back that is complemented by a 13-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The new smartphone comes with the Mediatek Dimensity 8020 chipset. A flagship chipset from Mediatek with features built to take on flagship phones. The octa-core CPU is complemented by either 8GB or 12GB of TAM and 256GB of storage. Display-wise, it comes with a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. All of this is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging.

Pricing & Availability

The Infinix ZERO 30 will be available in three colour options: “Golden Hour,” “Rome Green,” and “Fantasy Purple.”

In India, the 8GB/128GB model is priced at INR 23,999 (MYR1,350.76/USD$290.17/EUR€268.80), and the 12GB/256GB version costs INR 24,999 (MYR/1,407.09/USD$302.28/EUR€279.98), both available for pre-orders through Flipkart.

No official pricing has been announced for Malaysia just yet. But the company looks poised to bring the smartphone to global markets in the near future.

OPPO’s Find N3 Flip is Coming to Global Markets

Foldables are the new black. A sleek foldable device is turning out to be the best companion you can have when it comes to smartphones. OPPO‘s Find N series of foldable devices is upping the ante with the latest OPPO Find N3 Flip. The N3 Flip is the first foldable smartphone to come with three camera modules.

The New OPPO Find N3 Flip comes in a clam shell form factor and has the rectangular 3.26-inch outer display on the front. This time, the N3 Flip comes with a raised circle which houses the triple sensor camera setup complete with Hasselblad branding. The triple camera setup comes with 50-megapixel primary camera, a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. On the front, there’s a 32-megapixel sensor for selfies.

The new foldable runs on the MediaTek Dimentsity 9200 processor with 12GBof RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Inside, the N3 Flip comes with a 6.8-inch flexible LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The N3 Flip is powered by a 4,300mAh which supports 44W fast charging. Also featured are WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and USB-C.

Pricing & Availability

The OPPO Find N3 Flip will be retailing at CNY6,799 (MYR4,347.55/USD$934.28) for the version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. The 512GB version will be retailing for CNY7,599 (MYR4,845.30/USD$1,044.21).

While the device has only just been announced in China, OPPO has already announced that the N3 Flip will be making its way to markets around the world in the near future.
