The thickened motherboard reinforced six steel plates and strengthening ribs protect not only the insides of the smartphone but also its overall structure. This also gives it added bend resistance. It’s even got shock absorption in the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G that allows it to better survive hard knocks from drops.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G is further fortified by dual Corning Gorilla Glass layers covering the back and front of the smartphone – more specifically it has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 up front and the Corning Gorilla Glass 7i on the back.. The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G, Pro 5G and Redmi Note 14 5G come with a 5110mAh battery across the board while the regular Redmi Note 14 has a larger 5,500mAh battery. While not the largest it provides all-day battery life. Even in our review, the Redmi Note Pro+ 5G lasted well over 24 hours on a single charge. On standby, it goes even further needing to be charged only after about 6 days.
Even with continual use, you should be able to get at least 10 hours of battery life with the most intense usage. We’ve got about 4 hours of battery life playing heavy games like Solo Levelling and Diablo Immortal.
The Redmi Note 14 series as a whole is changing what we’re expecting from a midrange smartphone overall. Each entry into the series is upping the ante a whole lot when it comes to balancing features, performance and price point.
