AP Memory Joins the UCIe Industry Consortium to Promote AP Memory’s VHM(TM) and Contribute to Global Chiplet Ecosystem

As the first among Taiwan’s IC design houses to join the consortium, AP Memory will actively participate in UCIe in collaboration with other members to contribute to the research and application of the UCIe 1.0 standard specification, helping to build a more robust chiplet ecosystem.

The Universal Chiplet Interconnect Express (UCIe) consortium is comprised of leading vendors of the semiconductor industry, including international companies such as Google Cloud, Intel, Meta, Microsoft, AMD, Qualcomm, Samsung and Taiwanese companies including TSMC and ASE. These 10 companies established the UCIe in March 2022, aiming to standardize the technology of chiplet interconnection. UCIe has already released UCIe 1.0 standard, which specifies the basic structure for the interconnect of chiplets, and which is expected to foster the standardization of the chiplet interface. As an open standard for interconnection, UCIe is expected to facilitate the establishment of the chiplet ecosystem at the packaging level, aiming to break the limit of the Moore’s law.

In recent years, 5G communication, high-performance computing (HPC) and Internet of Things (IOT) are driving the needs for new technology of the semiconductor industry. More specifically, the fast-growing applications like artificial intelligence (AI) and HPC require more advanced packaging technology. The semiconductor industry is gradually paying more attention on new technology such as heterogeneous integration and chiplet. Turnitin’s content database helps researchers and publishers surface potential plagiarism by uploading and comparing submissions against more than 82 million scholarly articles provided and owned by the world’s premier academic publishers.

Content contributed to Turnitin by JaLC and J-STAGE includes: 1) JaLC content derived from member institutions that use Turnitin plagiarism prevention software and have had their contents’ DOIs registered through JaLC, and 2) J-STAGE content whose DOIs have been registered through JaLC. Already, over 2.6 million pieces of Japanese academic content have been added to the Turnitin database from J-STAGE.

The invite-only function, themed Timeless Moments with Loved Ones, took place at Wappo Hill, the private home of celebrated vintner and co-founder of LVE, Jean-Charles Boisset. LG SIGNATURE brand ambassadors – the international style authority Olivia Palermo and noted wine critic James Suckling – were among the evening’s special guests, while other VIP attendees included LG SIGNATURE customers, retailers, journalists, wine reviewers and lifestyle influencers.

To begin the sophisticated soiree, John Legend and Jean Charles Boisset were joined by an LG SIGNATURE representative to share the story of the exclusive wine – from the original idea for their collaboration to an inviting description of the full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon’s rich, complex flavors. The delighted guests were then serenaded by John Legend, who, accompanying himself on the piano, performed “You Deserve It All,” the song he wrote for LG SIGNATURE, along with his hit “All of Me” and a selection of other favorites.
