A pleasure to wear

An excellent pair of studio headphones would only be half as good if it were uncomfortable. Therefore, the Sennheiser engineers have put decades of experience from professional headset design into the HD 490 PRO. Their lightweight, ergonomic design eliminates any pressure points, as the headband does not press on the sensitive parts of the head. Also, the circumaural ear pads feature a Sennheiser-patented soft comfort zone for the temples of glasses while maintaining good sealing.

A patent has also been applied for regarding the special axes geometry of the HD 490 PRO. This design makes sure that the headphones optimally adapt to the head when they are put on, and maintain an equal contact pressure no matter what the shape of the user’s head.

Forrester: Global Tech Spend To Grow 5.3% In 2024, Reaching $4.7 Trillion


The Asia Pacific region will see the fastest growth; six countries forecasted to have the largest GDP growth are in Asia

SINGAPORE, Jan. 19, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Forrester’s (Nasdaq: FORR) Global Tech Market Forecast, 2023 To 2027, reveals that as economic conditions continue to improve, technology spend will grow 5.3% in 2024 — up from 3.5% in 2023. Two factors will primarily contribute to this growth: Increased spending on software and IT services, including generative AI (genAI), cloud, security, and digital, and economic growth in Asia Pacific.   • North America will grow 5.4%. Software and IT services will capture 60% of US tech spend in 2027, up from 53% in 2018. Financial services and healthcare will see the fastest tech spend growth in 2024, with more modest growth in retail, manufacturing, transportation, and logistics.
  • Europe will grow 5.1%. After a challenging 2023, the European economy will recover in 2024 to grow almost double the rate compared to the previous year. Longer term, European tech spend will see 5.1% to 5.7% growth from 2024 to 2027, driven by higher enterprise digital maturity and more advanced cybersecurity adoption.

Under the theme of ‘Shaping the future of mobility space,’ LG Display will present its innovative automotive technologies for global automakers and auto parts companies in Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) to further accelerate its order-based business for automotive display solutions optimized for Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs).

Also known as ‘smartphones on wheels,’ SDVs are associated with ‘screenification,’ a concept that refers to the increase in the number of automotive displays within a vehicle as various vehicle control and infotainment features continue to advance.

LG Display will showcase various large-sized automotive display solutions that completely cover the vehicle’s dashboard, leveraging differentiated technologies such as P-OLED, Advanced Thin OLED (ATO), and LTPS (Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Silicon) LCD.

The ultra-high-resolution P-OLED features a flexible plastic substrate for a lightweight and flexible panel. ATO, on the other hand, utilizes glass substrates to offer the core strength of automotive OLED at a more competitive price point. In addition, LTPS LCD is a high-performance panel that enables larger and higher-resolution displays compared to existing LCDs.

LG Display will also introduce its safety enhancement solution, ‘Switchable Privacy Mode (SPM),’ which automatically adjusts the display’s viewing angle away from the driver’s line of sight to keep their eyes focused on the road. When active, content such as movies or games being displayed on the front passenger’s side is diverted away from the driver’s side so that only the passenger can watch it.

Furthermore, the company will also present solutions that offer new driving experiences while maximizing space efficiency within the limited confines of a vehicle, such as Slidable and Foldable OLEDs installed in the back of seats that can be hidden away or extended for use on demand.
