Customers can collaborate with Supermicro engineers in this consolidated campus, accessing an onsite data center to develop, test, and create the right balance of on-prem, colocation, and public cloud workload scenarios optimized for tomorrow’s corporate challenges. The new construction is over 200,000 sq. ft. in size and the latest addition to Supermicro’s Green Computing Park. It will include a Command Center to support new and innovative solutions that address the varied needs of customers worldwide. New technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML), 5G Edge and On-Prem Cloud software and hardware can quickly be incorporated and tested for the most demanding workloads. In addition, the new facility will generate its clean fuel-cell-based electricity with two MW supplied entirely from natural gas using Bloom Energy servers, adding to Supermicro’s existing use of Bloom Energy servers. The site is designated as a resource-efficient LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) facility that uses less water and energy.

The new facility is dedicated to assembling large numbers of clusters and racks, where water cooling for server systems may be required as part of the solution. With the increased demand for Supermicro products, a new facility was needed to ensure the timely delivery of large orders that contain the most advanced technology. In addition, the new Supermicro Rack Plug and Play program will require fast delivery of defined solutions that need to be tested as an entire unit, requiring an ample staging area. These systems achieve the highest level of server manufacturing integration and testing – L12. With dedicated floor space, the Rack Integration Services team can work on several multi-rack customers’ systems simultaneously, increasing delivery throughput. By combining R&D, manufacturing, and solution engineering under one roof, delivery to customers is expedited, giving customers the advanced technology sooner to solve complex IT challenges.

Supermicro Expands Total Solution Portfolio by Offering Nutanix NX Platforms for Hybrid Multi-cloud Solutions


Supermicro Takes Longstanding Strategic Relationship to the Next Level by Offering the Nutanix NX Solutions Based on Supermicro Ultra and BigTwin Systems through the Nutanix Elevate Partner Program

SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 13, 2021 Super Micro Computer, Inc. (SMCI), a global leader in enterprise computing, storage, networking solutions, and green computing technology, is joining the Nutanix Elevate Partner Program. This expanded collaboration will further help customers deploy, manage and scale their infrastructure by delivering optimized application and hardware solutions to address the increasing market demand for hybrid multi-cloud solutions.

Customers will receive support directly from Nutanix’s customer service organization. In addition, this extension of the partnership will allow the two companies to accelerate the procurement and deployment of Supermicro and Nutanix solutions long proven in the market. Many workloads in various industries will benefit from this partnership and the Nutanix solution, including analytics, VDI, Remote Office/Branch Office, databases, and mission-critical applications.

Mycronic receives order for an SLX system

STOCKHOLM, Aug. 27, 2021 — Mycronic AB (publ) has received an order for an SLX system from a new customer in Asia. The order value is in the range of USD 4-6 million. Delivery of the system is planned for the third quarter of 2022.

The SLX laser mask writer meets rising demand for photomasks for the semiconductor industry and a future need for replacement and modernization. Photomasks manufactured by laser mask writers are of high importance and account for 70-75 percent of all photomasks produced for semiconductor manufacturing. SLX is a new and modern mask writer based on the same technology as Mycronic’s mask writers for displays.

TCL Technology Announces Results for First Half of 2021, Net Profit Hits USD1.426 Billion

SHENZHEN, China, Aug. 14, 2021 — TCL Technology Group Corporation ("TCL Technology", Stock Code 000100.SZ), a publicly listed company focusing on the semiconductor display and materials industry, has announced its interim results for the six months ("the reporting period") ended 30 June 2021.

During the reporting period, the company achieved operating income of around USD11.45 billion, a year-on-year increase of 153.3%; net profit was around USD1.426 billion, a 7.65 times increase year-on-year; net profit attributable to shareholders was around USD1.04 billion, a year-on-year increase of 461.5%. The company’s two core industries, semiconductor displays and semiconductor photovoltaics, achieved significant growth over this period and the company’s annual budget target has been surpassed.

Furthermore, TCL CSOT, TCL Technology’s panel production subsidiary, achieved sales area of 17.792 million square meters with a year-on-year increase of 25.3%. The semiconductor display business of TCL CSOT achieved operating income of USD6.29 billion, a year-on-year increase of 93.6%; net profit was USD1.01 billion, a year-on-year increase of USD1.04 billion. In the second quarter of 2021, TCL CSOT achieved a net profit of USD649.15 million, a quarter-on-quarter increase of 76%. Through continuous expansion and optimization of product structure, TCL CSOT continued to increase its market share in various fields, including TV panels, interactive whiteboards, LTPS, etc.

Additionally, Zhonghuan Semiconductor, a subsidiary of TCL that focusing on semiconductors and new energy, also contributed to the Company’s profit growth in the first half of 2021. Zhonghuan Semiconductor achieved operating income of USD2.7 billion, a year-on-year increase of 104.1%, and net profit of USD291.42 million, a year-on-year increase of 160.6%. During the reporting period, the photovoltaic industry has developed rapidly. Over this time Zhonghuan Semiconductor’s accumulated technological advantages have emerged, the product structure has been transformed smoothly and the scale of production capacity has been continuously improved.
