FIC, the CES 2021 Honoree, Intelligent AR HUD for Commercial Vehicle

TAIPEI, Jan. 22, 2021In recent years, FIC (First International Computer) group focuses its core business in automotive electronic design, especially for car manufacturers and Tier 1, Tier 2 suppliers. After years of efforts, FIC has successfully developed full color laser beam scanning (FCLBS) technology for AR HUD product; and in early 2021, FIC was awarded as the CES 2021 Innovation Honoree. Mr. Alex Dee, the vice president of automotive electronic R&D department of FIC group, said: "many of the HUD products out there in the market today are built by applying TFT or DLP technology, and most of them will reduce the display clarity due to the influence of natural light, which will cause the driver’s eyes to be tired easily and the projected images become blur in some way. FCLBS technology is mainly designed to prevent from direct sunlight affecting the projected images, and through the automatic sensing system to detect environment light source and automatically adjust the projection brightness during driving. It gives drivers the most comfortable, clearest and safest imaging effect from any weather while driving.

FIC, the CES 2021 Honoree, Intelligent AR HUD for Commercial Vehicle

In recent years, augmented reality technology has evolved from 2D images to 3D projection, which is integrated into our real life environment, bringing people diverse and different life experience and convenience. Similarly, when AR technology is applied to our daily driving, all data information of vehicle will no longer be limited just to the digital instrument cluster, or the advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), which will integrate with traffic environment in 3D virtual projection and directly display information on the windshield in front of the driver’s eyes, making driving safer and more convenient.

As the core technology of FIC AR HUD, FCLBS can still clearly project the AR images to 5-50 meters ahead on the road under strong sunlight, heavy rain and foggy situations, which becomes a new way of driver’s safety navigation warning path while driving. In addition, eye tracking technology has been applied into the FIC augmented reality head-up display system, so it can automatically track on drivers’ eyes and provide vehicle information like speed, navigation, traffic warning, forward collision detection, lane departure warning, pedestrian detection, traffic sign recognition and other important warning signals on the windshields in order to assist the drivers pay more attention on the road instead of looking down on the cluster upon driving, which gives more safety and convenient driving experience.

At the same time, when these messages are displayed through AR technology, the virtual images and the real traffic environment are integrated in 3D in order to provide the driver with clearer, safer and more convenient driving experience; even through the combination with ADAS technology, the driver can quickly response to any sudden situation such as pedestrians, objects, blind spots and dead corners around the vehicle as being a traffic safety reminder.

Hence, Alex believes FCLBS will become a significant core patented technology of FIC for future HUD product design and widely be embedded into electric and commercial vehicles starting from 2023.

Blue Hat Announces Further Growth of Xunpusen Following Company’s Strategic Acquisition in 2020

Subsidiary Reported RMB30 million (USD $4.5 million) in First Four Months; Expects Additional Contracts in Early 2021

XIAMEN, China, Jan. 4, 2021 — Blue Hat Interactive Entertainment Technology ("Blue Hat" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: BHAT), a leading producer, developer and operator of augmented reality ("AR") interactive entertainment games, toys and educational materials in China, today announced that the Company’s operating subsidiary, Xunpusen Technology Co., Ltd. ("Xunpusen"), generated approximately RMB30 million (approximately USD $4.5 million) in revenue in the first four months of operation.

Since its acquisition earlier this year, the Company has continued to develop and utilize Xunpusen’s mobile marketing and hosting expertise to both support and grow Blue Hat’s traditional mobile and gaming business while seeking new channels to expand the Company’s customer base and leverage relationships.

Xunpusen recently signed a cooperation agreement with China Mobile Communications Group Guangdong Co., Ltd. ("China Mobile") for a series of telecom value-added service and Internet Data Center ("IDC") contracts. IDC is a place to host a group of hosting enterprises, merchants, or web servers, an infrastructure on which models of e-commerce operate securely, and a platform to support businesses and their business alliances in implementing value chain management for their distributors, suppliers and customers.

Specifically, these IDC agreements can enable larger companies to promote and sell products using Xunpusen’s expertise in message marketing and integrated solutions. Following the agreement with China Mobile, both companies have worked to secure agreements from larger multi-national companies in addition to Blue Hat’s existing product portfolio.

The Company believes that Xunpusen’s contribution to revenue could potentially be in excess of RMB100 Million (USD $15.6 million) on an annualized basis.

Mr. Xiaodong Chen, CEO of Blue Hat, stated, "We are very pleased with the development of Xunpusen. Initially, our goal was to utilize direct marketing and sales techniques to further our relationships with larger companies and increase sales of Blue Hat’s core product portfolio. The deployment of 5G technology, coupled with the acceleration of mobile utilization throughout 2020 has also created opportunities in the internet data center business. We expect that the recent agreement with China Mobile will lead to further agreements due to the surge in data volume and the strong downstream demand. We will keep investors closely apprised of our progress."

Flight Centre Travel Group Transforms its Customer Experience with K2 Cloud

Global travel agency leverages digital process automation software to transform and drive operational efficiencies

MELBOURNE, Australia, Dec. 29, 2020 — Nintex, the global standard for process management and automation, today announced that Flight Centre Travel Group (ASX: FLT), one of the world’s largest travel agencies, has successfully leveraged K2 Cloud to help improve its operational efficiencies and digitally transform its customer experience.

jwplayer.key=”3Fznr2BGJZtpwZmA+81lm048ks6+0NjLXyDdsO2YkfE=”

jwplayer(‘myplayer1’).setup({file: ‘https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkCRWFdJwKY’, image: ‘http://www.prnasia.com/video_capture/3233171_EN33171_1.jpg’, autostart:’false’, aspectratio: ’16:9′, stretching : ‘fill’, width: ‘600’, height: ‘338’});

Flight Centre Travel Group, with a vast global sales network, received an overwhelming number of cancellation requests in 2020 as a result of the pandemic. The company needed to find a fast and more efficient way to support its customers beyond their 800-number especially when the U.S. and Canada borders were initially closed this year.

The organisation turned to K2 Cloud to quickly develop and launch a digital form process that automatically routes changes to one centralised expertise-based Flight Centre team armed with all the necessary tools and policies to expedite changes with improved customer experience. To date, the form has been leveraged more than 60,000 times which has helped reduce customer hold times and potential frustrations.

"The travel industry as a whole quickly pivoted how it operates and responds to cancellations and restrictions brought on by the pandemic," said Josh Waldo, Nintex Chief Customer Officer. "By automating repetitive, time-consuming tasks with easy-to-use and powerful digital process automation software like K2 Cloud, the Flight Centre Travel Group immediately went digital and provided its corporate travellers with a better experience."

To improve its corporate travel customer experience, the Flight Centre Travel Group modernised its operations to drive more consistency and transparency across its processes. Previously, like most businesses, information was tracked and shared across spreadsheets, forms, and third-party tools, with no single source of truth. This resulted in team members spending time managing repetitive, complex processes that delayed great customer experience.

"We wanted to improve process efficiency across the organisation. We needed a consistent, streamlined way of accurately capturing all information in a shareable way in order to create greater standardisation and transparency," said Shaun Clear, Global Head of Operations for FCM Travel Solutions (a Flight Centre brand). "K2 Cloud has given us the ability to quickly and swiftly address a number of operational issues helping us focus on the most important piece of our business and the reason we exist: our travel customers."

The company previously used internal technology called "HUB" to build corporate travel client sites and also securely store individual traveller profiles including frequent flyer information, seat and meal preferences, credit card numbers, and identification documents. While this process was great for the traveller, it was challenging for the Flight Centre Travel Group team to build and maintain as it required a 100% manual process to build all new sites.

"For instance, we currently have one customer that needs 400 sites, which is an immense undertaking when one build typically takes about 30 – 45 minutes," said Nick Williams, Head of Digital Workplace at Flight Centre Travel Group. "To keep up with demand we needed to add an intelligent automation layer to the process which is why we decided to use K2 Software. With K2 Cloud we can collect customer information and configure it with RPA to automatically build sites with no human oversight. This has been truly transformative for the team and helps us focus on more strategic projects like improving our customer experience and future-proofing our business."

This year’s Automation Fair At Home drew particular attention to the unique challenges facing the sector, with Rockwell Automation making a series of announcements aimed at bolstering the resilience, agility and sustainability of industrial manufacturers. Scott Wooldridge, President of Asia-Pacific at Rockwell Automation, said, "With its rapid urbanisation, growing middle-class population and talent pool, Asia-Pacific is already a global manufacturing hub, and the sector continues to be one of the region’s key growth drivers."

"The Asia-Pacific operations from Rockwell Automation are of strategic interest to our global business and we want to partner with established and emerging enterprises and industries across all local markets to help them make the digital leap; facilitating the region’s economic recovery from the pandemic," he continued.
