Netskope Launches NewEdge Data Center Expanding Coverage Across North Asia

Newest data center enhances the carrier-grade NewEdge security private cloud network to deliver even higher performance web, cloud, and SaaS security across the region

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov. 17, 2020 — Netskope, the leading security cloud, today announced the expansion of the Netskope NewEdge network with a new data center in Seoul, South Korea. Serving millions of enterprise users around the world, Netskope NewEdge is a carrier-grade, security private cloud network that is reserved exclusively for Netskope customers. With South Korea representing a ‘top five’ economy in Asia and ‘top 15’ globally, the addition of the Seoul data center enhances the NewEdge infrastructure and demonstrates an increased investment in the region. This translates into improved coverage for Netskope services with high performance and lower latency, especially important for companies headquartered in the region or multinationals with a presence in Northern Asia.

"Our customers are rapidly moving away from legacy backhaul architectures, embracing the cloud, and looking to acquire security technology that controls data movement, guards against threats and secures users both inside and outside the enterprise network," said Jay Kwon, CTO at VicCns Co., Ltd. "With Netskope launching a new data center in Seoul paired with the NewEdge network’s local peering for the fastest access to web, cloud and SaaS in region, we expect increased adoption of Netskope cloud security across Korea in the coming months."

As organizations continue to balance the remote or hybrid-office workforce, they are relying on cloud-based solutions to seamlessly bridge the gap from office to home for their employees. With 20% of users moving sensitive data among multiple cloud apps and services, businesses must continue to prioritize security during this era of rapid digital transformation.

"We’re excited to continue our expansion across Asia-Pacific with the launch of the NewEdge data center in Seoul," said Jason Hofmann, VP Platform Architecture and Services at Netskope. "With just 5% to 10% of the latency compared to other vendors based on 3rd-party tests, Netskope is now unequivocally the highest-performing cloud security provider in South Korea, with the fastest on-ramps for user traffic and best round trip times for web, cloud and SaaS access."

The decades-long efforts to digitally transform enterprises have pushed the capabilities of the public internet to its maximum. Inherently unpredictable and unsecure, the public internet is strained by users who demand great web, cloud, and private application performance and enterprises that demand more security. Compounding this challenge, legacy security tools often introduce delays to accessing these critical services. As a result, industry analysts have scrutinized the reliance on the public internet for security of these services, giving rise to new architectural frameworks like Gartner’s "secure access service edge" (SASE) that enterprise security leaders are moving to adopt.

Netskope NewEdge is built by industry veterans representing the largest and most performant networks ever built. Like no other network, NewEdge delivers inline security services through a carrier-grade, next-generation global infrastructure based on advanced application and network optimization technologies and processes. As a private cloud network, NewEdge optimizes connectivity with its resilient global architecture, which is directly peered with major providers, mitigating the challenge of the public internet. This enhances the overall user experience, resulting in a better web, cloud, and private application performance for most Netskope customers.

The Netskope Security Cloud, delivered on NewEdge, provides unrivaled visibility and real-time data and threat protection for cloud services, websites, and private apps accessed from anywhere, on any device. No other company in the market has addressed shifting demands by combining Next-Generation SWG capabilities, the world’s leading CASB, Cloud Security Posture Management, Zero Trust Network Access, and advanced machine learning to detect unauthorized data exfiltration and advanced threat protection. Only Netskope understands the cloud and takes a data-centric approach that empowers security teams with the right balance of protection and speed they need to secure their digital transformation journey.

To accelerate deployment and simplify administration for network teams, Netskope supports the most flexible options of any vendor for steering traffic to the NewEdge network. This includes Netskope’s lightweight client for managed devices or a traditional proxy auto-config (PAC) file-based approach. NewEdge also works seamlessly with a customer’s existing router, firewall, and proxy investments utilizing IPSec/GRE tunnels or proxy chaining, as well as plug-and-play integrations with SD-WAN solutions. To extend security and data protection to unmanaged users and devices, Netskope also supports an extensive set of clientless options to enable any web-based, SaaS application.

TIDAL Adds Millions of Master Quality Tracks, Offering Extensive Catalog of Highest Quality Streaming Audio

MQA Users have Doubled Since 2019 on TIDAL

TIDAL HiFi Users Now Stream 40% More Tracks in Master Quality than Last Year

NEW YORK, Nov. 12, 2020 — Today, global music and entertainment streaming platform, TIDAL, added millions of tracks in MQA from Warner Music Group to its Masters catalog. TIDAL, in partnership with MQA (Master Quality Authenticated), provides guaranteed delivery of the original sound recording with TIDAL Masters. Now music fans can listen to an expanded Masters catalog, featuring iconic albums from artists such as The Notorious B.I.G., Missy Elliott, LCD Soundsystem, Madonna and more.

MQA, led by Bob Stuart, who this year became the first audio engineer to receive the Prince Philip Award from the Royal Academy of Engineering, has pioneered an entirely new way of coding digital audio based on key insights into how humans hear. Key to the technology is MQA’s built-in authentication to confirm that the listener is getting the exact sound created in the studio. Additionally, MQA addresses the issue that when analogue sound is turned into digital, the process introduces time-smearing artefacts that blur sounds unnaturally. MQA solves these problems, and then the MQA decoder in the TIDAL app ensures the conversion back to analogue preserves the music’s pristine clarity.

Bob Stuart, MQA Founder, explained, "By paying great attention to the nature of sound and the way we hear, MQA opens a clear window and delivers all the detail and nuance of the original song. The music industry’s catalog contains millions of significant performances from the early days of CD where, sometimes, the recording was created in 44.1kHz 16bit and where no alternative existed. We are delighted that Warner Music Group is bringing this content to TIDAL."

"TIDAL Masters offer the best sound available. As consumers’ expectations of high quality experiences increase, TIDAL’s audio innovation sets the bar for music listening," said Lior Tibon, TIDAL COO. "Not only can members hear music exactly as their favorite artists recorded it, but with recent platform enhancements, the experience is as seamless as ever."

In response to listeners’ requests to make it easier to listen to and discover more Masters tracks, TIDAL has added ‘Master Edition’ Artist Radio and Track Radio. TIDAL members can listen to radio stations in the best quality available containing  Masters only songs, uninterrupted. In conjunction, TIDAL is adding the Master Edition of My New Arrivals, a personalized playlist of new music in full master quality audio for members based on their listening habits. Using less bandwidth, MQA technology packages and delivers master quality audio to music fans making MQA files accessible to listeners on-the-go, with any headphones.

To further support a harmonious listening experience, TIDAL recently launched the "Connect" feature, which allows users to stream music from its HiFi tier directly to connected devices, including: Bluesound, Cambridge Audio, DALI, KEF, iFi audio, Lyngdorf, Monitor, NAD, and Naim Audio. Through TIDAL Connect, the platform’s unparalleled lossless audio quality can now be seamlessly experienced on members’ favorite devices with the touch of a button. For more information on how to connect, visit TIDAL.com/Connect

TIDAL offers the largest MQA catalog outside of China. In addition, TIDAL offers music lovers unlimited access to its extensive catalog of over 70 million tracks across all genres, thousands of expertly curated playlists by TIDAL’s seasoned editorial team, and endless artist radio stations.

TIDAL HiFi at a Glance

A TIDAL HiFi membership allows you to listen to the best quality sound based on your settings, selected playback device, and data availability. The HiFi tier offers a number of streaming options, including:

HiFi – High-fidelity sound comes from uncompressed music files. TIDAL HiFi utilizes FLAC, a more robust file format. In contrast, MP3 files are compressed to decrease file size, which can remove audio details, which can reduce sound quality. FLAC offers CD-quality audio in its purest form (1411kbps or 16bit / 44.1kHz)

Master – Authenticated and unbroken files with the highest possible resolution—as flawless as it sounded in the mastering suite. And exactly as the artist intended.

Dolby Atmos – An immersive audio experience. Dolby Atmos Music allows sounds to be precisely placed, adding dimensionality to create a full audio atmosphere.

Sony 360 Reality Audio – An immersive experience using Sony’s spatial audio technology to map out sound at any point or distance from your ears. This new listening experience is the culmination of years of acoustic and physiological studies of how we hear and place sounds.

Wealth Dynamix has worked with new and existing wealth management clients to deliver the critical capabilities required to support remote working and business continuity. In the UK several of the leading wealth managers and private banks including Charles Stanley, Ruffer, Quilter and Rothschild & Co completed major projects to upgrade to the latest version of the Wealth Dynamix CLM solution.

Many Wealth Dynamix clients accelerated digitisation projects throughout the second half of the year, spurred by the requirement to manage client relationships seamlessly from any location, sustain high levels of client interaction via digital channels, increase the speed and agility of onboarding and ensure ongoing compliance. Its capabilities span the entire client lifecycle, including client acquisition, client engagement, digital onboarding, regulatory compliance, relationship management, and ongoing client servicing.

Gary Linieres, CEO and Co-founder at Wealth Dynamix, said: "This has been a year of two halves in which firms focused initially on digitisation to optimise operational efficiency and improve cost-income ratios, then quickly switched focus to ensuring they could continue to serve staff and clients effectively whilst remote working. Technology has never played a more vital role in enabling business continuity and empowering advisors and the success of Wealth Dynamix through this trying period is testament to our many years of wealth management domain expertise and the flexibility of our solutions."

"Moving into 2021," Linieres continues, "wealth managers will need to provide all internal stakeholders with an integrated view of client journeys, so they can make proactive and intelligent recommendations that match client requirements. They will need to build agility into their technology platforms, so they can adapt to change quickly without interrupting service quality. And there will be a permanent shift in the way people do business, requiring fully effective and secure digital communications, while all the time meeting regulatory obligations."

Now, with a team of 600+ people, we are ready to cement our global presence with our entry into the US market. We have set bold plans into motion and have full confidence in our platform that will deliver a unique approach in omnichannel experience orchestration. This is a milestone we’ve been planning carefully, and finally, USA, we’re home," said Hande Cilingir, Co-founder and CEO of Insider.

Most digital marketers face the same problem: there are too many tools that claim to be "omnichannel" and provide a "hub." Meanwhile, customer data still sits in silos, sales channels remain under-developed or even unavailable and the end product is more point-solutions rather than a true hub. The result exacerbates the disjointed experiences for consumers and hinders marketing ROI

Insider‘s AI-powered platform enables enterprise marketers to connect customer data across channels and systems, predict their future behavior with an AI-powered intent engine and orchestrate and deliver individualized experiences to customers. The platform is unique in how it offers the widest set of product features in the market while coordinating all offline and online data across the unified platform and its various engagement channels. The powerful AI intent engine consists of 15+ algorithms that enable marketers to make precise predictions such as which customer segments are likely to convert, buy, and churn, then design the most optimized experiences accordingly.

"We’re very excited to welcome Jim Koepke as our Managing Director in the US. Jim will be leading our aggressive growth in the region and will enable us to tackle the unique challenges of marketers driving the growth of top enterprise brands in the USA," added Cilingir.

Jim Koepke joins Insider as the Managing Director for the US and brings with him two decades of experience in sales, eCommerce, and a deep understanding of the North American market. Jim previously led the GTM teams for Emarsys as VP of Sales for the Americas. Prior to leading the scale efforts for Emarsys in North America, Jim held numerous leadership roles for ExactTarget and Salesforce.

"Since I joined the Insider family, each day has reaffirmed my decision to do so. Great onboarding. Great people. Great technology leading to phenomenal results for our customers. I have done my homework, seen the platform, read the case studies, tested the ROI models, and reviewed their write-up in the Gartner MQ for Multichannel Marketing Hubs. I have spoken to customers, competitors, founders, and board members. This company is already great and destined for so much more. Insider’s presence in the US is now beginning and I can’t wait to share the power of Insider with the US market," said Jim Koepke, Managing Director for the US at Insider.
