To address the recurring issue of children being left alone in cars and the risk of heat-related incidents, countries worldwide are increasingly focusing on the development of products with similar functionalities, such as CPD. The European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) includes CPD functionality as part of the automotive safety assessment. Additionally, the U.S. Congress passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, urging the Department of Transportation (DOT) to take action to reduce child deaths due to hot cars. This underscores the increasing importance and ubiquity of CPD systems.

Setting itself apart from products that merely detect the presence of occupants, TMYTEK’s in-car CPD technology utilizes millimeter-wave radar TDM-MIMO FMCW technology. This technology can differentiate between adults and children, objects and non-objects. It integrates heartbeat and respiratory detection technology, seamlessly integrating with HCMF Group’s panoramic sunroof system. Operating at the zenith of the car cabin, it conducts a 360-degree, no-dead-angle scan to detect the interior space. The system then transmits real-time interior status information to the car owner’s mobile phone, allowing immediate awareness of the car’s conditions and providing advanced warnings in case of anomalies. The millimeter-wave radar TDM-MIMO FMCW technology utilizes 3 transmitting antennas and 4 receiving antennas to generate 12 sets of transceiver links. This simulates an antenna array aperture similar to the size of 12 antennas, effectively enhancing the horizontal and vertical scanning angles of the antenna array and improving angular resolution.

Regarding intelligent car doors, TMYTEK successfully applied millimeter-wave radar algorithms to HCMF Group’s autonomously designed and developed automatic side door opening and closing system. This system detects obstacles outside the door when it opens automatically and integrates HCMF’s unique anti-pinch mechanism to prevent collisions with external objects during automatic door opening and avoid accidental pinching during closing. TMYTEK’s millimeter-wave radar operates in the 60-64GHz millimeter-wave frequency band, offering a high bandwidth advantage of 4GHz to provide high-distance and high-speed resolution. The system can be set for various modes, such as standby mode, software update mode, and working mode, and for scanning areas, it can be configured into multiple hierarchical blocks, such as alert zones and restricted zones. Under the theme of ‘Shaping the future of mobility space,’ LG Display will present its innovative automotive technologies for global automakers and auto parts companies in Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) to further accelerate its order-based business for automotive display solutions optimized for Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs).

Also known as ‘smartphones on wheels,’ SDVs are associated with ‘screenification,’ a concept that refers to the increase in the number of automotive displays within a vehicle as various vehicle control and infotainment features continue to advance.

LG Display will showcase various large-sized automotive display solutions that completely cover the vehicle’s dashboard, leveraging differentiated technologies such as P-OLED, Advanced Thin OLED (ATO), and LTPS (Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Silicon) LCD.

The ultra-high-resolution P-OLED features a flexible plastic substrate for a lightweight and flexible panel. ATO, on the other hand, utilizes glass substrates to offer the core strength of automotive OLED at a more competitive price point. In addition, LTPS LCD is a high-performance panel that enables larger and higher-resolution displays compared to existing LCDs.

LG Display will also introduce its safety enhancement solution, ‘Switchable Privacy Mode (SPM),’ which automatically adjusts the display’s viewing angle away from the driver’s line of sight to keep their eyes focused on the road. When active, content such as movies or games being displayed on the front passenger’s side is diverted away from the driver’s side so that only the passenger can watch it.

Furthermore, the company will also present solutions that offer new driving experiences while maximizing space efficiency within the limited confines of a vehicle, such as Slidable and Foldable OLEDs installed in the back of seats that can be hidden away or extended for use on demand.

INX Customer Data and Funds are Secure After Recent Attack on Third-Party Service Provider

Swift Response and Assurance: Customer Accounts and Security Uncompromised Despite Third-Party Service Provider Cybersecurity Incident

TORONTO, Dec. 30, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — The INX Digital Company, Inc. (NEO: INXD, OTCQB: INXDF, INXATS: INX) (the “Company” or “INX”), a security token and digital asset trading platform, U.S. broker-dealer, alternative trading system, transfer agent, and inter-dealer broker (through its subsidiaries), announced that on December 20, 2023, it learned of a cyberattack that occurred on the computer systems of a third-party vendor providing services to one of the Company’s subsidiaries. 

As a result, a malicious actor managed to access the third-party vendor’s servers and executed unauthorized trades which resulted in a loss of funds of the Company’s subsidiary of approximately $1.6 million. The Company took immediate actions to remediate the security vulnerability and to investigate the nature and scope of the incident. The Company also notified relevant law enforcement in the appropriate jurisdictions and is working with the affected trading venue to investigate this incident and take appropriate legal action.  

INX customers were not affected by the incident, and the security breach at the third-party provider did not have any impact on the platforms and servers of INX. No personal information or other data of INX’s customers was compromised, and INX.One remains fully operational. The Company placed additional security measures in place and continues to actively monitor any suspicious activity. 

The Company holds a “Reserve Fund” (which is not part of the Company’s operational capital) in the amount of $36,023,000, which is restricted and specifically designed to cover customer and INX losses, if any, that result from cybersecurity breaches or theft, errors in execution of the trading platform or its technology, and counterparty defaults, including instances where counterparties lack sufficient collateral to cover losses. The Company will seek to recover the lost funds through any means necessary. If unsuccessful, and after these efforts are exhausted, the Company will utilize the Reserve Fund for the recovery of the loss that resulted from this security incident. There is no assurance that any such lost funds will be recovered.

The Company does not expect this incident to have a material impact on its business operations or its financial results.
