Hi2 Global Joins UN Principles for Responsible Investment

NEW YORK, Jan. 13, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Hi2 Global is now a signatory of the United Nations (UN) Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), the world’s leading proponent of responsible investment.

Launched by the UN in 2006 under former Secretary-General Kofi Annan, PRI works to understand the investment implications of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors, and support its international network of investor signatories in incorporating these factors into their investment and ownership decisions.

The PRI is independent and encourages investors to use responsible investment to enhance returns and better manage risks, but does not operate for its own profit. It is supported by, but not part of, the UN.

The PRI has grown consistently since 2006 with 3,826 signatories representing $121.3 trillion of assets under management (AUM) all over the world as of 2021.

The six Principles for Responsible Investment offer a menu of possible actions for incorporating ESG issues into investment practice, which include incorporating ESG issues into investment analysis and decision-making processes, being active owners and incorporating ESG issues into ownership policies and practices, seeking appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities invested, promoting acceptance and implementation of the Principles within the investment industry, working together to enhance effectiveness in implementing the Principles, and reporting on activities and progress towards implementing the Principles.

In implementing them, a signatory contributes to developing a more sustainable global financial system. Luokung Receives Nasdaq Listing Determination Company to Request Hearing

BEIJING, Jan. 11, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Luokung Technology Corp. (NASDAQ: LKCO) (“Luokung” or the “Company”), a leading spatial-temporal intelligent big data services company and provider of interactive location-based services (“LBS”), today announced that on January 4, 2023, the Company received notice from the Listing Qualifications Department (the “Staff”) of The Nasdaq Stock Market LLC (“Nasdaq”) indicating that, based upon the Company’s non-compliance with the minimum bid price requirement set forth in Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(a)(2) (the “Rule”) as of January 3, 2023, the Company’s securities would be delisted from Nasdaq unless the Company timely requests a hearing before the Nasdaq Hearings Panel.

The Company plans to timely request a hearing before the Panel, which request will stay any further delisting action by Nasdaq at least pending the hearing and the expiration of any extension that may be granted by the Panel following the hearing. There can be no assurance however that the Panel will grant the Company’s request for continued listing or that the Company will be able to evidence compliance with the Rule and all other applicable criteria for continued listing on Nasdaq within the period of time that may be granted by the Panel.

As previously disclosed on January 7, 2022, and July 7, 2022, the Company was first notified by the Staff on January 3, 2022, that it failed to satisfy the minimum bid price requirement of $1.00 per share for the preceding 30 consecutive business days and was granted a grace period through July 5, 2022, to regain compliance the Rule. Thereafter, on July 6, 2022, in accordance with the Nasdaq Listing Rules, the Staff granted the Company an additional 180 calendar day extension to regain compliance with the Rule. To evidence compliance with the Rule, the Company must report a closing bid price of at least $1.00 per share for a minimum of 10, though generally not more than 20, consecutive business days.

Baidu Create 2022 Outlines New Strategy for AI Development Based on Feedback-Driven Innovation

BEIJING, Jan. 10, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Baidu, Inc. In his speech “Innovation Drives Growth, Feedback Drives Innovation”, Robin Li, Co-founder, Chairman and CEO of Baidu, detailed Baidu’s strategy for driving healthy and sustainable growth. Li declared that deep learning algorithms have set the cornerstone for the fourth technological revolution. Major technology innovations powered by deep learning algorithms such as autonomous driving and intelligent water and electricity dispatching systems will emerge at scale, making a significant impact on society. Speaking at the main forum of Baidu Create, Haifeng Wang, CTO of Baidu, said that deep learning, as the core of AI development, is showing increasingly strong potential for generalized application, preparing AI to play a foundational role in industrial production through the “deep learning plus” model.

Wang noted that on the technological side, “deep learning plus knowledge” is set to power long-term AI breakthroughs. He cited Baidu’s AI art generation platform Wenxin Yige as an example of this dynamic already taking place. Powered by knowledge-enhanced cross-modal models, Wenxin Yige is able to accurately understand the semantics and mapping relationships in language and images, integrating learning from cross-modal knowledge such as language and vision.
