The solution’s machine-learning algorithms use real-time conditions of monitored spaces to model occupancy profiles at certain times of day, create seasonal or longer-term temperature profiles, and detect potential problems with subsystems or individual assets. Future versions of the product will feature scream or gunshot detection and put an emergency response in motion. It also takes television and projector remote controls off the boardroom table by emulating the infrared remote control signals. Furthermore, a pair of onboard inputs/outputs allow the user to control connected equipment such as lighting. The ceiling-mounted, touch-free system ensures safety, security, and energy efficiency as unauthorized people are not permitted to change the settings.

To drive up adoption, the company has taken system integration to the next level. Its Sensor Hub open platform IoT device supports multiple protocols that allow it to integrate with almost any system, including native BACnet, MQTT and REST API for third-party integration, and BLE API for custom app development. Each year, only 10% of doctors in Singapore are named a DxD10 Trusted Reviews Award recipient. DoctorxDentist evaluated the performance of 10,112 doctors and dentists nationwide by compiling and analyzing thousands of ratings and reviews of patients from across Singapore and Southeast Asia. The evaluation found that:

  • Winners had an average of 22 reviews, while the average doctor in Singapore had less than 5 reviews.
  • Award recipients maintained an average rating of 4.5 or higher out of a 5-star rating system.
  • Doctors with a minimum rating of 4.5 stars get seven times as many appointments as doctors with a rating less than 4.5 stars.
  • Doctors with at least 5 reviews get 74% of online appointments.
  • Reviews most often mentioned a doctor’s clinical skill or bedside manner.

Huang Ou, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of Shanghai Electric Group, noted, “In the future, Shanghai Electric will continue to develop the SEunicloud platform and improve the service model industrial Internet platform within the Yangtze River Delta regional radiation throughout the country and even the world.”

This year’s event was organized by the committee of the World Artificial Intelligence Congress and co-hosted by the China Institute of Information and Communication and the Industrial Internet Industry Alliance, among others. The Summit focused on “Innovation, Integration and Build the Future of Intelligent Industry.” The program included sharing the technological frontiers of industrial blockchain, industrial big data and industrial Internet industry platform as well as exploring new models of industrial Internet industry chain finance.

A major topic of WAIC 2020 was the building of a new ecological structure for the industrial Internet. To this end, in the hope of accelerating the evolution of its work, Shanghai Electric upgraded the company’s digital solution platform SEunicloud. The platform empowers intelligent wind power operation, remote thermal power operation, machine tool maintenance, energy storage and distribution. Using SEunicloud, Shanghai Electric has been providing efficient solutions, including troubleshooting, remote operations, maintenance, and energy planning to meet demands in various scenarios.

The SEunicloud platform is also equipped with an intelligent supply chain solution that is designed to match factory production with power plant demand directly. The DES-PSO energy planning solution of the platform features design and planning, investment analysis and risk assessment functions. These allow customers to evaluate the financial viability of large-scale energy production projects before commissioning their construction. The Shanghai Electric E-Commerce solution component of the platform is a one-stop platform equipped with spare parts, maintenance services, transformation optimization and more. This facilitates the online delivery of more than 22,000 spare parts products and 70 standard repair packages—all at near factory price.  

The summit also announced the official launch of the Industry-Finance Integration of Industrial Internet Program. After the formation of the consortium, Shanghai Electric will jointly promote the construction of a public service platform for industrial Internet finance and build a credible, interoperable and coordinated industrial Internet financial system.

“@Beautiful Zhejiang” Video Contest Ready To Launch

HANGZHOU, China, July 15, 2020 — Organized by Information Office of Zhejiang Provincial Government and Zhejiang International Channel (ZTV-World), “@Beautiful Zhejiang” Global Short Video Contest is now ready to launch. The contest is seeking short videos no longer than 5 minutes from both home and abroad to show the beautiful landscape, culture, and modernization of the province.

The award-winning works will be displayed across the world. Award-winners will automatically get premium membership of Blueberry Video Bloggers’ Alliance @Beautiful Zhejiang, a platform for works exhibition and insight sharing, and be offered priority access to follow-up media events and plenty of resources.

The Contest includes Comprehensive Awards and Individual Awards. The former includes 5 first prizes, 10 second prizes, 15 third prizes, and 30 honorable mentions; the latter includes 1 award for each of the Best Creativity, Best Videography, Best Editing, Best Animation Design, and the Most Popular Work, and several Special Awards for International Collaboration and Excellent Groups.

All works submitted shall reflect the contest’s theme and reveal the historical achievements made in Zhejiang in terms of economy, culture, society and ecology, especially the impressive progress concerning the development of a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way. Videos can be filmed anywhere around the globe, but elements about Zhejiang are required.

The works should deliver positive energy and can be in the form of a documentary, interview or talk show within 5 minutes. Videos can be filmed in any language, but English or bilingual (Chinese and English) subtitles are required.

Qualified works will be posted online across a wide range of media platforms, including the Wechat, Weibo, Douyin, YouTube, Facebook and Tik-Tok accounts operated by Zhejiang International Channel (ZTV-World) along with Zhejiang Government’s English portal website, In Zhejiang (an English social web service run by Zhejiang Daily), Beautiful Zhejiang Douyin account, Tianmu Video, and overseas collaborative media. Netizens can vote and give likes to their favorite works. The impressions and likes on each platform will be referred to in later review.

The final results will be announced online in mid-September, and an online award ceremony, delivery of certificates and rewards will be held. Excellent works will also be recommended to attend other domestic short video contests.
