Senmiao Technology Announces Strategic Cooperation with the Top Online Ride-hailing Platform in China

Company Continues to Establish Partnerships for its Ride-hailing Expansion Initiatives

CHENGDU, China, June 19, 2021 — Senmiao Technology Limited ("Senmiao") (Nasdaq: AIHS), a financing and servicing company focused on the online ride-hailing industry in China and an operator of its own online ride-sharing platform, today announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with a leading global platform for mobile transportation and local services (its "Partner"). Under the terms of the agreement, Senmiao will collaborate with its Partner to aggregate riders on their platforms. Senmiao has had a longstanding partnership with this Partner related to automobile transaction and related services since November 2018.

Under this cooperation agreement, the Company’s Partner will serve as a ride-hailing order aggregator for Senmiao. Senmiao will receive orders from riders utilizing its Partner’s online ride-hailing applications in certain cities, beginning with Chengdu. Once orders are received by its Partner, they will be distributed to registered drivers on Senmiao’s platform for viewing and acceptance. Senmiao will pay information technology service fees to a technology company cooperating with its Partner for each completed order based on a certain percentage of the value of the order.

LG Innotek Develops Automotive Lighting Module ‘Nexlide-E’

  • Brightness improved by 63%. Applicable to the front/rear of an automobile.

SEOUL, South Korea, April 21, 2021 — LG Innotek (CEO Cheol-dong Jeong) announced on the 20th that it had developed ‘Nexlide-E,’ an automotive lighting module that produces bright and uniform light.

This automotive lighting module is made of three parts. An LED package, which is a light source, is mounted on a thin substrate. Then, optical resin covers the package and substrate for protection. Lastly, a thin optical film is attached on top of the package to spread the light brightly and evenly. The module can be used as taillights, stop lamps, and headlights.

The Nexlide is LG Innotek’s automotive lighting service brand that has the meaning of a next-generation light source. The name was produced by combining the words ‘Next,’ ‘Lighting,’ and ‘Device.’ LG Innotek provides automotive lighting module products as well as customized solutions such as optical device design, lighting design proposal, and more with the Nexlide brand.

The Nexlide-E is 63% brighter than the previous product and produces more uniform light. LG Innotek applied a high-performance and high-reliability optical film to improve the lighting performance. The company’s micropatterning technique was used in the film to give a variety of lighting effects.

Due to its brightness, this lighting module can replace multiple automotive lamps with different brightness standards into one module. This can improve space efficiency and allow more design variations of a vehicle’s lamps.

The maximum brightness of the Nexlide-E has been raised from 80 cd (candela, the unit of brightness) to 130 cd, making it 63% brighter than the previous product. This satisfies the brightness standard of taillights, turn signals, and stop lamps.

The stop lamps have the most strict brightness standard. In Europe and North America, they are required to be 110 cd or higher. This is because stop lamps must be recognizable in any circumstances for driving safety.

The Nexlide-E is also power efficient, because the module is bright enough with a small amount of electricity. This is particularly important for electric and hydrogen vehicles in increasing their mileage range (corresponding to fuel economy in conventional vehicles).

Also, car manufacturers can replace different lightings of a vehicle such as a taillight and stop lamp into one lighting module using the Nexlide-E. The product’s high brightness makes this possible by satisfying the different brightness levels of taillights, stop lamps and turn signals.

As the number of lighting modules used decreases, car manufacturers can design slimmer and more compact lamps, and increase space efficiency by widening the trunk and such.

The Nexlide-E also has the advantage in that it produces a uniformly bright light. Even as a wide lamp, it produces smooth and uniform light without blind spots or sudden breaks caused by lighting level drops.

To achieve such a bright and uniform light, LG Innotek developed a new optical film for the Nexlide-E. An only 0.2mm thick film produced with the company’s unique micropatterning technique is attached to the automotive lighting module. Different types of the optical film create various lighting effects.

The micropatterns can be changed according to the type of optical film to increase brightness by collecting the beam, produce a surface light source by diffusing the light or even produce a three-dimensional light shape.

With optical films, LG Innotek can produce customized lighting modules without complex design changes or using additional components such as an inner lens.

LG Innotek will leverage the Nexlide-E to expand its share in the automotive lighting module market.

To do so, the company has been active in promotions targeting global car makers in the U.S., Japan, Europe and South Korea. The first vehicle equipped with the Nexlide-E is expected to be mass-produced in the latter half of this year.

LG Innotek is also focusing on the development of next-generation lighting products. The company is developing another type of optical film that further raises the brightness and uniformity of the light. It is also developing the Nexlide-C+, a 3D lighting module that produces 3D light shapes without any devices such as a half-mirror that assists 3D effects within a lamp.

EV Carnivals – Ionix Technology gained two strategic partners in the field of electric vehicles

LAS VEGAS, April 7, 2021 — Ionix Technology, Inc. (OTCQB: IINX), ("Ionix Technology", "IINX" or "the Company"), a business aggregator in photoelectric display and smart energy fields, today announced one of its subsidiaries, Huixiang Energy Technology  ("Huixiang") has entered strategic cooperative agreements with Gongjue Electric Vehicle("Gongjue") and HiBoss Electric Vehicle("HiBoss").

Huixiang was incorporated to focus on producing safe, fast charging and long life cycle Electric Vehicle ("EV") batteries, as well as developing its own online sharing platform. Gongjue and HiBoss will purchase power battery and battery packs from Huixiang according to the agreements. Huixiang will cooperate with Gongjue and HiBoss to develop the next generation batteries for EV with faster charge (10 mins charge, 600 KM performance), safer, longer endurance mileage and lower cost performances. Total investment in this project is estimated to be more than a billion RMB Yuan, of which approximately 25% will be necessary in the first phase and which is anticipated to give annual output of 50,000 vehicles. Gongjue and HiBoss will also engage the online sharing platform developed by Huixiang, which will offer online EV sharing services and EV sale services.

Mr. Zhou Xiang, Gongjue’s CEO, expressed the confidence in achieving next generation EV with Huixiang’s faster charging, lower cost and higher energy density power battery packs. HiBoss’s CEO, Mr. Chen Guofu, says "we will explore the urban-rural EV consumer market with batteries and battery packs produced by Huixiang".

Key Foundry to Begin Mass Production of Automotive Semiconductor Using Gen2 0.13 micron Embedded Flash Process


SEOUL, South Korea, April 6, 2021 — Key Foundry, the only pure-play foundry in Korea, announced today that it has completed the development of its first automotive semiconductor using its Gen2 0.13 micron embedded flash process and will begin full-scale mass production this year.

Key Foundry has continued mass production of a broad range of consumer application products, such as MCU, Touch and Auto Focus with its Gen1 0.13 micron embedded flash technology for more than 5 years. This newly developed Gen2 0.13 micron embedded flash process can be applied to automotive parts, satisfying the reliability criteria of the AEC-Q100 Grade-1. The AEC-Q100 is an Integrated Circuit (IC) stress test qualification for automotive applications, and to be qualified for Grade-1, the IC should not break down for 10+ years under an extreme temperature as high as 125℃ while keeping all the data saved in the flash intact. Based on its accumulated know-how and utilizing the robust characteristics of its patented Side-wall Selective Transistor Cell (SSTC) structure, Key Foundry has developed an embedded flash technology that passes all the AEC-Q100 Grade-1 tests by adding  ECC (Error Correcting Code memory) in the embedded flash IP. This design improvement increases the flash memory reliability of the technology and makes it suitable for automotive applications.

This new process is first applied to a MCU product for a toll transponder of one of its Korean customers. The 128Kbyte eFlash IP provided by Key Foundry is embedded in the product whose product-level test is completed; mass production will begin in full swing this year. It is the first automotive-bound product utilizing Key Foundry’s embedded flash process, and Key Foundry is expecting the product’s successful development will help expand the technology’s applications to Touch ICs, wireless charge ICs and other various automotive products.

With greater reliability and more cost-competitiveness than the Gen1, this Gen2 technology is expected to be applied to a wide range of consumer applications including MCU, Touch and Auto Focus. Additionally, integrated with the BCD (Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS) process, it is a good fit for various power products such as USB type-C PDs, motor drive ICs, or wireless charging ICs. The application of Gen2 technology is expected to further expand to low-power IoT products with an ultra-low leakage process option. 

In addition, Key Foundry is also developing an embedded flash process in 0.11 microns, followed by the Gen1 and the Gen2 in 0.13 microns. The plan is to provide a flash IP with a memory density as high as 4Mbits by significantly reducing the size of flash cell in response to its customers’ increasing demand for higher memory density.
