Spotify Announces Support for Qualcomm’s AllPlay
Qualcomm’s AllPlay is media streaming platform recently launched by the company. The corporation has just signed on new hardware and software liasons for AllPlay as it works to release the ultimate universal media streaming feature.
Just a few days ago, Qualcomm officially announced that AllPlay has been certified by Spotify Connect. This mean that users can now stream Spotify via Wi-Fi using any device that is AllPlay compatible.
AllPlay is already supported by iHeartRadio, Napster and Rhapsody. Qualcomm is looking to extend a partnership to Monster to integrate AllPlay support into SoundStage’s wireless speakers. It is also looking to get support from Fon’s Gramofon streaming box which is set to launch by the end of the year.
Wireless speakers and audio devices that use the Qualcomm® AllPlay™ smart media platform can work together seamlessly regardless of product brand. AllPlay helps manufacturers create compatible devices and services. It also helps developers create compatible Android and iOS music streaming applications, so you can have a high-quality whole-home audio experience.
