Sony Xperia Z3 Leaks!
With the release of the Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z2, Sony committed to their planned 6 month development. A year and a half later, we’re getting inklings of Sony’s next flagship device, the Sony Xperia Z3.
The device supposedly passed through America’s Federal Communications Commission, with the device code D6603 which follows the model number previously used in the Xperia Z1 and Z2. Along with another device carrying the model number D6616. Both devices are listed with the same specifications seemingly pointing to them being variants of each other.
Another leaks shows a working prototype of the device with the model number L550t which seems to be similar to the Chinese Sony Xperia Z2 which came with the model number L50t. The suspected Sony Xperia Z3 is supposedly coming with a Snapdragon 801 Quad Core processor clocked at 2.5 GHz – which makes it looks like there’ll be no update to the processor from the Xperia Z2. The device is also photographed with a 20.7 Megapixel Exmor sensor and an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit (GPU). Also seen in the pictures are the now signature rounded power button and camera button. The Sony Xperia Z3 is also seen with a microSD card slot.
The Sony Xperia Z3 is expected to come with a Snapdragon 801 Quad Core processor with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage and a 20.7 Megapixel camera. While the expected specifications are not much of a bump from the Z2, the Sony Xperia Z3 is expected to come with some features not seen in the Z2. It seems that the expected processor is legit according to the leaks.
The Sony Xperia Z3 is expected to be launched later this year in September at IFA in Berlin. We’ll have to wait and see.
