Second Generation AMD Ryzen Processors Available Worldwide on 19th April!
AMD has been one of the foremost companies in the processor arena. They have long been the sole competitor for Intel when it comes to desktop processors. Last year, the landscape shifted when AMD brought their Ryzen Processors to the market. Their revolutionary Zen architecture brought better performance and power efficiency that wasn’t seen in previous processors.
The company is again looking to steal the spotlight with their refresh of the Ryzen line of preocessors. The new second generation AMD Ryzen processors will be the first generation with a refined Zen architecture dubbed Zen+. It is the first generation which will see all the processors adopting a more efficient fabrication process. The new 12nm fabrication process will not only ensure that the processors are able to perform, it will also help with the power efficiency.
That said, if you’re looking to upgrade from the pre-existing Ryzen processors, you won’t need to spend money on a brand new motherboard. AMD is sticking to the AM4 socket. This means that you’ll just need to remove the old chip and pop in the new one. No extra hassle.
Here’s a quick rundown of the new Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 5 processors which will be hitting the market.

The new Ryzen processors will include their “best in class” AMD Wraith Cooler in the box – a first for the chip maket.
In addition, the new processors will be sypported by the new AMD X470 chipset. This chipset is the latet and greatest from AMD featuring the AM4 socket. It also comes bundled with AMD StoreMI storage acceleration technology. This technology hybridizes the speed of the computer’s SSD with a rotating drive for better performance and easier drive management.
Motherboards with the new AMD X470 configuration will launch alongside the second generatin Ryzen processors on 19 April 2018. Manufacturers such as ASUS, MSI, ASRock and Gigabyte will be releasing their AMD X470 motherboards.
