Some of the latest revealed Samsung patents look similar to existing phones in the market! PhoneArena discovered that the patent with a curved display that could be the successor to the Galaxy Round, a smartwatch with a round design like the Moto 360. One of the devices even looks like the Apple iPhone with the round home button being featured.
Another smartphone looks to dock into a tablet like ASUS’ Padfone series of smartphones. The next patent looks to be one of Samsung’s previously launched low end phones but sports an elliptical home button. We’re not quite sure if the South Korean tech tycoon is planning on acting on these patents but take a look at the pictures and let us know if this is another copy and tweek a little to make it my own case by the company!
In similar news, the tech giant has also patented a new device! Samsung filed for this patent back in February 2014 and The US Patent and Trademark Office published the patent application from the company just a few weeks ago. The application shows that the company has been working on a display that folds in between like a wallet.
Future smartphones with this display will be able to fold both backward and forward without damaging the display. It describes how the smartphone can be used in a folded position for various tasks such as a calendar or an alarm clock through specific applications.
