Samsung these past few years have been releasing mobile devices non-stop, both high end and low end. This year it will be no different with the Korean tech giant. This time it is another entry level smartphone under the Galaxy line called the Samsung Galaxy V. So far the only sighting or rumour of this device comes from our neighbour Vietnam. We assume that as an entry level it should be priced quite reasonably and competitively as well. So what do we know about the device?
First of the Samsung Galaxy V will be powered by a 1.2GHz clocked processor. There are no mentions of what processor it would be although we are guessing a dual core one. It will be attached with a 512MB of RAM which points to an entry level type of device as well. It will have a 3 MegaPixel camera at the back with no camera up front, at least the camera will have an LED flash paired with the camera. The phone memory comes in the form of 4GB internal memory and a MicroSD slot allowing for expansion. Naturally connection on the phone was provided via an array of Wi-Fi antennas, 3G, and the latest Bluetooth 4.0. Juicing everything up is a 1,500 mAh battery housed in a 480 x 854 pixel 4-inches display. The best part is that it is powered by Android’s 4.4.2 KitKat.
The specs clearly point out that the device was made to be targeted towards the entry level market. There are no information regarding its release into the local market and its pricing is still a mystery. We can only predict that it will be priced less than Rm500.
