Samsung Galaxy Tab S launches in India July 12
Samsung recently announced its first flagship tablet line, the Galaxy Tab S, earlier in June. The line of tablets push the limits of tablet technology and brings a beautiful display to the market, perfect for the content consumption device. It seems like Samsung wants to spread the love and has announced that the Tab S will be launching in India on the 12th of July.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S is powered by either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Quad Core processor or Samsung’s own Exynos Octa processor for the 4G LTE and WiFi versions respectively. The tablet comes with a beautiful 2560×1600 pixel display in either 8.4 or 10.1 inch flavours. It has 32GB or 16GB internal storage depending on how much you want; both of which are expandable with up to 128GB additional memory via microSD card. It also comes equipped with a finger print scanner and an 8 megapixel shooter and a 2.1 megapixel selfie cam.
The tablet will go on sale on the 12 of July for Rs. 37, 800 (RM 2050) for the 8.4-inch model and Rs. 44, 800 (RM2450). Samsung is also sweetening the deal by providing 9GB of 3G data free for 3 months along with access to movie rental service, BigFlix, through Indian Telecoms Carrier Reliance. All this in addition to benefits of Galaxy Gifts.
No word yet on when the device will be available in Malaysia. But from the trend in prices globally, it is expected that the device will be costing about RM 2100 for the 8.4-inch version and RM 2399 for the 10.1-inch version.
