Samsung just introduced their Galaxy Note 7 flagship last week and have confirmed 19th of August, 2016 launch for Malaysia. Just today though Samsung announced that they have to delay this 18th August launch to September. Why? Blame global demands. According to Samsung the Galaxy Note 7 launch was such a success that global demands for the highly anticipated flagship was more than expected. So much in fact that Samsung is already having shortages of supply worldwide.
Because of the shortage in supply Samsung decided to push back the launch date to September to ensure that stocks of the device can match demands of consumers. It is no wonder that the demand of the new device is sky-high either with what is offered with the device. The 4,000 units that was put up on pre-order earlier this week also sold out pretty quickly.
For those of you who are already prepared to spend on the new smartphone will have to wait for the official launch in September, 2016 though (We are guessing first week of September). For those who has already pre-ordered, you will still get your Galaxy Note 7 on the 18th of August, 2016; much, much earlier than everyone else. Samsung Malaysia promises to fulfill and honor the 4,000 units that were sold during pre-order phase.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is Samsung’s first flagship phablet that sports the 5.7-inch QHD AMOLED dual-edged screen. The new and improved S Pen will have more functionalities this time around compared to the Galaxy Note 5 as well. While the internals remain largely the same as the S7 Edge, a new colourway is introduced in the form of Coral Blue. The device will be available in Malaysia in September as per their launch. The available colours in Malaysia up to this point still excludes the Coral Blue colour though.
We are surprised when we received the news earlier. But supply shortage is no laughing matter and is a problem that could bring a product down as we understand it. We are expecting more news to come from Samsung regarding the updated launch date of the device and of course will keep you readers posted. Still, did you pre-order the flagship phablet? What do you think of the device? Will you get one? Let us know what you think in the comments. Press release after the break.
